Tang Zhenling
Tang Zhenling is located in the northeast of cuihuang village, Baiwang Town, Jingyang County, Shaanxi Province, at the south foot of Beizhong mountain. The palace is located at the top of a hill between Dongling and xilinggou. The tomb is 889 meters above sea level. The owner of the tomb is Li Chen, Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty. In May 1956, the people's Government of Shaanxi Province announced that it was the first batch of provincial key cultural relics protection units. The mausoleum is built on the mountain and the city wall is built around the mausoleum. The mausoleum covers an area of 6.29 million square meters.
architectural composition
The Zhenling mausoleum is built on the mountain, and the Xuangong mausoleum is carved at the southern foot of the mountain. The mausoleum is a rammed earth city wall, narrow from east to west, long from south to north, with a slightly irregular rectangular plane. Each side of the cemetery has a gate named after the four gods. Outside the gate, there are a pair of stone lions and a pair of pagodas. Corner buildings are built in the four corners of the cemetery.
There is a Shinto outside the Zhuque gate, 505 meters long and 68 meters wide. At the south end of the Shinto is a pair of Rutai, and then about 1.5 kilometers south is a pair of quetai. Shinto from south to North in order to arrange Huabiao, winged horse, ostrich, zhanma, wengzhong and other stone statues. There is the site of Xiandian in the Zhuque gate, the site of the affiliated building of the cemetery in the South and west of the gate, and two fallen white stone statues with the same dress and robe, waist girdle and round head shoes. The height of the two statues is 1.2m and 1.35M respectively, and there are rectangular seats under them. One is the site of the altar. Xiagong site was found in the northwest of quetai, and a "New Tang Xuanzong Temple stele" was built in the south of the site.
Zhenling stone carvings
Four stone lions
It's the gate lion of the cemetery. There are four pairs of stone lions in each gate. Except one pair is located on the ridge 325 meters west of baihumen, the others are 8-9 meters away from each gate. The distance between each pair is 14-22.4 meters. They are crouching. The stone lions are 1.05-1.10 meters wide, 0.25-0.32 meters high and 1.58-1.80 meters high. The female lion on the right side is seriously damaged. The head of the female lion is round, curly, with closed mouth and prominent cheekbones; the female lion is covered with fur, with open mouth and roaring shape, and the tail is rolled out from the upper part of the left leg, with sparse hair pattern.
Xuanwumen stone carvings
It is a stone carving outside the north gate of the cemetery. In the north of xuanwumenque site, there are three pairs of shizhangma, which are divided into East and West columns and arranged northward, with a distance of about 24 meters. The first pair is 55 meters south of Xuanwumen site, and the second pair is 79 meters south of Xuanwumen site. The stone horses are 1.62-1.72 meters high and 1.92-2 meters long. They are all carved with saddle, stirrup, Youle, bell, seat and footstone.
Shinto stone carvings
There are 23 pieces in existence, all of which are made of lapis lazuli. Starting from 24 meters to the north of the site of rutaique, it is divided into two columns of East and West, which are arranged to the north. The distance between the two columns is about 68 meters. The original sequence is: Huabiao, Yima, ostrich each pair, zhanma five pairs, wengzhong ten pairs.
Huabiao: with a height of 8.06 meters, only one is left, with a rosette, an octagonal column and a pearl top.
Winged horse: 22 meters north of Huabiao is a pair of winged horses, 2.8 meters high and 2.83 meters long, with double wings of cirrus cloud pattern carved below the neck and one horn on the east side.
Ostrich: 22 meters to the north of Yima, one piece is kept today; the relief is carved on the stone screen, the picture is seriously damaged, the screen is 1.55 meters high, 1.97 meters wide and 0.46 meters thick; the plane is decorated with relief stones.
Battle horse: located 22 meters north of ostrich, there are three pairs left; each pair is 22 meters apart, 1.75 meters high and 2.05 meters long; there are three horseback chisels with more than 10 round nests.
Weng Zhong: located 22 meters north of zhanma, there are six pairs of Weng Zhong. Each pair is 22 meters apart. He is 2.47-2.88 meters tall. He is a civil servant in the East, wearing a wide sleeve robe, sandal shoes or round head shoes, holding Wat in both hands. In the west, he is a military official, wearing a wide sleeve robe, boots, and five swords in both hands. In the north, he has a deep eye and a high nose With prominent cheekbones and whiskers, it seems to be a bearded person.
Anti theft measures
On November 26, 2016, in Jingyang County, Shaanxi Province, people took advantage of the holiday to visit the ZHENLING Mausoleum of the Tang Dynasty. Two stone lions "shut" in iron cages in Zhenling mausoleum were intriguing. It is understood that since Jianling stone lion was stolen, Zhenling stone lion lost its "freedom" and was put into an iron cage for protection. The iron fence to protect the two lions was made around 2010. Now, monitoring equipment has been installed in the mausoleum area to monitor the safety of cultural relics in the mausoleum area at any time.
Brief introduction to the owner of the tomb
Li Chen is the 13th son of Xianzong. His mother is empress Xiaoming of Zheng family, formerly named Yi. He died in Xianning Hall of Daming Palace on August 7, 859. He was 50 years old. He was buried in Zhenling on February 15, 860, the first year of Xiantong.
