Qingtaiguan scenic spot is located in the north of Luotian County, Huanggang City, Hubei Province. It is connected with Tiantangzhai, the main peak of Dabie Mountain in the East, sanshenao forest farm, the largest collective forest farm in Eastern Hubei in the west, Jinzhai County in Anhui in the north and Jiuzihe town in the south. The total area is more than 16000 mu. The state-owned forest farm is owned by qingtaiguan forest farm.

Development history

Qingtaiguan has a long history, the terrain is dangerous, and is located at the junction of Hubei and Anhui, so it is an important key to wutouchuwei. Close the ancient city, commonly known as the "old city.". According to records, the city wall is 10 meters high, 3 meters wide, and the building is 20 meters high. Taking this as the center, it extends 500 meters to the left and right to the dangerous cliffs on both sides, supplemented by Qiling pass and wengmen pass, forming the trend of relying on each other.

Qingtai pass was built in the Southern Song Dynasty. After the 12th year of Jiading in the Southern Song Dynasty, when the Jin people were in trouble and the Yuan people invaded the south, it was set up to guard the pass.

At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, the rebel leaders Hou Yinglong and Zhang Fuhuan led their troops to fight against the Qing army in qingtaiguan and Shibapan. In 1859, Hu Linyi, governor of Hubei Province, ordered the construction of shangyika, qingtaiguan, Duoyun township: a gate tower, 290 feet stone wall and a barracks. Up to now, most of the historic sites still exist. During the reign of Emperor Guangxu, Zhang Zhengjin, Li jinhou and others opposed the foreign religion. They organized a coalition of more than 2000 people to fight against imperialism in the area of qingtaiguan, and left many moving deeds.

Among the trees mainly composed of pine and fir, there are also some valuable trees such as Pinus armandii, pipa, Ginkgo biloba, Conan, and a large number of ornamental plants such as Rhododendron fortunei, Rhododendron flavescens, Euonymus microphylla, red and baiyingshanhong. Its unique geographical environment and natural landscape determine the superior tourism and summer conditions of the forest farm. Qingtai pass is one of the eight famous passes in Luotian, and wengmen pass, Qiling pass and Chongyi West pass are among them. Qilingguan water flows into Huaihe River in the north and Yangtze River in the South; wengmen pass is shaped like wengtan, just like the exit of wengtan; Chongyi West pass, wengmen pass and Qiling pass lie on a long hill, both of which are military transportation fortresses of Hubei and Anhui. The three passes are majestic residences, and the city walls are stone barriers. It is said that Lu Xun, a famous general of the state of Wu in the Three Kingdoms period, once chased Wei soldiers back here. In the Qing Dynasty, Duoyun town (today's sengta Temple) took this as an important defense pass. Up to now, there are villages called "barracks embankment" near Sanguan.

Qingtai pass

It is one of the eight famous passes in Luotian, with an altitude of 1092 meters. It is located at the junction of Hubei and Anhui in the north of the scenic area. It used to be an important key of wutouchuwei. Because the stone walls of the pass are covered with moss, it gets its name. There is an ancient city in the pass, which is called the "old city" among the people. The tower is 20 meters high and the wall is 10 meters high and 3 meters wide. With the tower as the center, the wall extends more than 500 meters to the left and right to the cliff peak. From the forest farm to the green moss pass is a long gorge, about kilometers away from the pass. There is a stone city built by the 25th Route Army of the former Kuomintang in 1936-1937, which is called "new city" by the people. With the help of the new city, the enemy from the north can be blocked on the top, and the enemy from the South can be resisted on the bottom.

In the winter of 1942, when the Japanese invaders invaded the Dabie Mountains, the Japanese army who tried to cross the border and enter Anhui was deterred by the "new city" and then entered Anhui by wengmen pass. Qingtai ancient pass was demolished in 1992 when the inter provincial highway to Anhui was built, and it is being repaired.

Yangjiao Village

Yangjiaozhai is located in the east mountain of qingtaiguan forest farm, on the hillside above guankan, about Qili Road, wengmen pass. The main peak is protruding, surrounded by cliffs, and two mountain beams stretch out below. On the left side is the only sidewalk leading to wengmenguan, and on the right side is yutan'ao. 791 meters above sea level, named after its shape like a sheep's horn. It was built in the Northern Song Dynasty to defend against the invasion of Jin soldiers. During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, it became the family village of the local surname Yu. Yu chubai, the leader of the stronghold, once participated in the rescue of Weifu and visited the trapped Qiting in Guanghua temple. He also knew about Jackie Chan. Later, Yu Chenglong exterminated Guanghua temple, which made Yangjiao village famous.

There are tombs of Anti Japanese martyrs under Yangjiao village. In the autumn of 1938, in order to fight against the Japanese aggressors, Anhui security corps built all kinds of bunkers and trenches here, and fought with the Japanese aggressors to the death, sacrificing dozens of people. To commemorate the martyrs and inspire future generations, the people's Government of Jiuzihe town built a monument here, which Jiuzihe middle school used as a patriotic education base.

Moon village and lion Nao

The moon village on the left side of qingtaiguan, 1339 meters above sea level, is the first village in Wu and Chu. Its mountain like curved moon, hence the name. The mountain is high and precipitous, the cliff is spectacular, the mountain forest is dense, the ancient trees are towering, and the breath is fresh. There is an ancient village on the top of the mountain. There is only one path to climb, which is extremely dangerous. Echoing with the green moss pass, it is a natural barrier.

The lion NAO on the right side of Qingtai pass is more than 1200 meters above sea level. It looks like a fierce lion and the terrain is dangerous. It stands opposite to the moon village, arched to protect the green moss pass. In front of Qingtai pass, there are fortresses and trenches, and the walls are very tight. In the age of cold weapons, it can be called a strong fortress.

The two mountains face each other across the river. It is said that in ancient times, at night, the moon village's Moonlight lit the lion (NAO) down the mountain to eat the calves in the cowshed beside the field, and the farmers were angry and startled the gods. For this reason, Lei Gong broke the moon and killed the lion. Up to now, I can still look up to the half curved waning moon in zhaiyan. What's more strange is that in the crescent shaped rock, there are many bees in spring. In midsummer, honey flows from the cracks of the rock along the cliff. Although there are boa constrictors occasionally sucking honey, people can't climb and pick it, so they can only "look at the honey and sigh".

Located under shiziyan of moon village. Because qingtaiguan is windy all the year round, "every time the wind blows, the clouds and fog at the entrance of the cave rise first" (county annals). Every time the local people see the clouds at the entrance of the cave, it is regarded as a wind warning.

Tiger hole

It is located 3 kilometers southwest of the scenic spot management office and northeast of Guanghua Temple site. It is said that tigers often appeared in the past years, so it is named.

Qiling pass

Located 8 kilometers to the east of Qingtai pass, this pass lives on a long hill connecting Tiantangzhai in the East and Zhuling in the northwest. Therefore, the water of the hill flows into Huaihe River in the north and Yangtze River in the south, so it is named.

Located 3 kilometers to the west of wengmen pass, the pass, Qiling pass and wengmen pass are on the same long hill. They are both important military and traffic roads between Hubei and Anhui. The stone barrier wall of the three passes is still in use today. It is said that Lu Xun (Wu General of the Three Kingdoms) once pursued the Wei soldiers and stationed them here. Longpan Villa

More than 1000 meters to the east of Qiling pass, it has a small area and beautiful scenery. It is known as "the mountain is like Qingluo belt, the water is like Yuyao pool, the ancient forest is quiet and deep, and there are wonders everywhere". Around the villa, there are thousands of ancient pines and ten thousand bamboo poles, covering an area of more than 150 mu. It is famous for its dense forest, thick trees and high mountains. Experts from Beijing and Nanjing Forestry Colleges have personally inspected and identified that daquanji here has a history of more than 300 years and is the most complete preserved natural ancient pine forest in Eastern Hubei. Longpan mountain villa was originally a high mountain basin, and in the center of the basin there is a pond with a water surface of about 4 mu, just like "basin in basin". This basin is a natural landscape composed of green trees, clear water and blue sky. When the sun rises in the east or the sunset sets, the light clouds and mists float around it. It is intoxicating to be in a fairyland.
