Development history

According to historical records, in 1853, after the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom established its capital in Nanjing, in order to consolidate the new regime, expand its territory and expand its influence, the Heavenly King Hong Xiuquan sent Hu Yihuang, Lai Hanying and other generals to lead the western expedition. The Taiping Army successively occupied Anqing, Jiujiang, Wuchang, Hankou, Hanyang, and most areas of Anhui, Jiangxi and Hubei.

In the autumn of 1856, a unit of the Taiping army was heavily damaged by the Qing army and the local militia. It retreated to tiezhai mountain. Overnight, three walls were built around the tiezhai mountain, and the Taiping Army stuck to the top of the mountain.
