Huayang scenic spot is a national AAAA scenic spot. It is located in Huayang Town, Yangxian County, at the southern foot of Qinling Mountains. It is 76 kilometers away from the county seat, with an average altitude of 1700m. The landscape is characterized by "high, cold, strange, dangerous and beautiful". The "four seasons in a mountain, different days in ten miles" is a vivid portrayal of its diverse climate changes. It is called Huayang for two reasons: first, it is named for its shape. Standing at the high point, Huayang looks like the share of plowing, so it is called "share like". Later, the pronunciation evolved into Huayang; second, it got its name because of its location. Huayang ancient town is surrounded by mountains. It is a rare small basin in the Qinling Mountains, covering an area of about 7 square kilometers. There is a commercial street of pubanmen, which is divided into four sections: Main Street, Qijia street, Huiguan street and Xinjie street, with a total length of about 600 meters and a width of 5 meters. The street houses are all civil structures. The architectural styles are southern, northern and mixed. Generally, they are built in front of the merchants and back of the houses. The backyard is near the water and leads directly to the river to get water or wash clothes. There are pawnshops, dyeing houses, post stations, hotels, meat racks, etc. The old street is narrow and long. In the early years of business, there were guild halls in 11 provinces and cities in the most prosperous time of the street, where merchants gathered and were very prosperous.

Built in the early Qing Dynasty, the ancient theater building is about 8 meters high, 15 meters long and 12 meters wide. It has a rectangular plane, two floors up and down. The top of the building is decorated with grey tiles, with wind chimes on its four corners. It is 3 rooms wide, with fan-shaped screen and backstage. The ground floor is 1.5 meters high, and the upper floor is covered with wood. The eaves are 1.4 meters deep, and the ridge is about 1.2 meters inward. Every festival, people gather here to play gongs and drums, and sing famous Qin opera songs on the stage. On March 10, 1935, the red 25 army came to Huayang on the long march and fought a fierce ambush in shitahe, 15km away from Huayang town. They won the whole victory. They held a celebration meeting in the theater dam to fight local tyrants and divide the land and set up the red regime of Huayang. There used to be a Sanguan Temple opposite the theater building, which worships "Tianguan, diguan and Shuiguan". People's wish is to pray for disaster, avoid evil and keep peace. There are more Sanguan temples in Guanzhong area and northern area, less in southern Shaanxi, but there are two in Yangxian county. The other is Tangshui River dam outside the west gate of Yangxian City, which is mainly changed from "Tangshui entering the ocean". The Sanguan temple in Huayang street is mainly to dispel the "mountain demons and water monsters" and pray for the gods in Sanguan temple to bless the people of Huayang.

Walking in the ancient town, it is not difficult to find that the plaque engraved on the lintel contains profound philosophy, such as "Yi Dai Liu Fang, Da De Jia Ren, cable cage song Mao" and so on, showing a profound cultural history. The dark wood doors, the pavements, the gray tiles, the quiet streets, the strange prints, the exquisite wood carvings, the blue bricks, the gray tiles and the hanging flowers of the door all exude the strong flavor of the folk houses in southern Shaanxi.

"City" refers to the old street of Huayang. "Thousands of fireworks are collected in a boat" describes the prosperous scene of the street in the Tang Dynasty. "Pagoda on the top of the ancient boat" refers to crossing the Huayang bridge, On the Bank of Dongshui River, an ancient pagoda was built. It was built in 1760. It is 13 meters high and has five floors. The top of the pagoda is shaped like a vase. The height and diameter of each floor are gradually reduced from bottom to top. Above the second floor, there are 40 niches on four sides of each floor, with stone Buddha statues inside. The tower is often called Zhenshui tower. Because the ancient town of Huayang is like a stranded ship, the Jiaolong of the East and West rivers did evil in ancient times, and the farmland and houses were often submerged in floods. Therefore, the tower was built above the ancient town of boats, with a mast like a boat, so the water rises and the boat rises.
