Baofeng Lake scenic area is located in the east of Wulingyuan District, Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province, only 34 kilometers away from Zhangjiajie City. In 1984, Baofeng Lake scenic area was opened to the public. In 1992, Baofeng lake, as a part of Wulingyuan scenic spot, was listed in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage list.

Baofeng lake is a part of world natural heritage, World Geopark and Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan scenic spot, one of the first batch of national 5A tourist areas. It is a lake type natural scenic spot with the combination of natural landscape and cultural folk custom in Zhangjiajie landform.

Introduction

Baofeng lake, the world natural heritage, is known as the "World Lake classic". It is located in the core area of Wulingyuan scenic spot in Zhangjiajie, 8 kilometers away from Tianzi mountain, 1.5 kilometers away from Wulingyuan District government and 8 kilometers away from Huanglong cave.

The main scenic spots of Baofeng lake are composed of Baofeng lake and yingwo village. Baofeng Temple

Baofeng temple was built in the late Southern Song Dynasty. It has a history of more than 1000 years. There is no way to study the specific age, and how to build it in such a steep stone crevice. According to local historical records, the founder of Baofeng Buddhist temple was tiechan Chan Master. He stayed at home for more than 40 years, and devoted himself to practicing Taoism. Baofeng waterfall
