This cattle and sheep bazaar is located in the suburb of Kashgar, next to national highway 314. Don't confuse it with the distant market.
This is the largest livestock bazaar in Xinjiang, that is, the live livestock trading market. It used to be located in the International Bazaar. In recent years, it has moved to the wasteland far away from the urban area.
The main business here is cattle, sheep, camels and mules. Every Sunday, it is a very rare experience for mainland tourists, and the scene is very spectacular. Bazaar starts to be lively at 11:00 in the morning. Because it is an open-air market, it will be particularly sunny at noon, and it will not be so lively after 15:30 in the afternoon, so it is recommended to go in the morning. As a reminder, the scene is mixed with the smell of cattle, sheep and camels. It is suggested to prepare a mask. If there is no scarf, it can be used as a mask.
There are also some food shops around niuyang dabaza, which sell Ramen or baked buns, and some stalls selling various daily necessities or handicrafts, and you can buy some souvenirs.
