Fu'an Bridge

The oldest bridge in Zhouzhuang was built in the Yuan Dynasty and later rebuilt by Shen wansi, the younger brother of Shen Wansan. It was renamed Fu'an bridge.

The only three-dimensional building in the water town of Jiangnan is the combined wall of bridge buildings, which are pulled up in front of the waves, facing each other from afar, with extraordinary momentum.

There is a saying among local people that if you walk on Fu'an bridge for three times, you will have a successful career. It is said that Premier Zhu Rongji walked on Fu'an bridge for three times before he took office.

Because Fu'an bridge is more distinctive, there are a lot of people coming here. Friends who want to go choose the right time, otherwise it will be difficult to take a single photo.

Fu'an Bridge

Fu'an bridge, located at the east end of Zhongshi street in Zhouzhuang, is a unique building with perfect structure of ancient town bridge and building. It is also the only three-dimensional bridge building in Jiangnan.

brief introduction

Fu'an bridge was first built in 1355, the 15th year of the reign of emperor Zhizheng of the Yuan Dynasty. Later, Shen wansi, the younger brother of Shen Wansan, invested in the reconstruction of the bridge. The stone arch bridge was built and renamed Fu'an bridge. We hope that it will be both rich and safe. We can see that it will never be forgotten by future generations.

The bridges on the four sides of the bridge are pulled up in front of the waves, facing each other from afar with extraordinary momentum. It is the only three-dimensional combined wall building in Jiangnan Water Town. There are stairs in the East and west of the stone bridge, with a plane in the middle and a relief pattern carved on it. There are bridges at the four corners of the bridge. There are five rare Wukang stones in Jiangnan area on the bridge. The longer one is used as a railing stone for pedestrians to sit and rest in the east of the bridge, one is used as a bridge step, and the shorter three are paved in the West Bridge, which proves that the bridge has a long history. Wukang stone is collected from the cliffs of Deqing County, Zhejiang Province. The stone surface is covered with small honeycomb eyes. It is dark ochre and not easy to wear. I don't know how many steps I've gone through in the past few hundred years, but I'm still basically the same, and I don't slip on rainy and snowy days. Now the four sides of the bridge are well preserved, with cornices and bamboo bars, carved beams and painted buildings, which are antique. There are teahouses, restaurants and shops in the building. Visitors can not only rest, but also enjoy the scenery.

3. Bus: you can take bus from Zhouzhuang bus station to Zhouzhuang Ancient Town tourist area.

No. 261 in Zhouzhuang area gets on the bus from Zhouzhuang bus station, gets off at Zhouzhuang new pailou station, and then walks 50 meters to Zhouzhuang Ancient Town exhibition area.

4. Taxi: you can take a taxi from Zhouzhuang bus station to Guzhen, Santana 10 yuan / taxi, Xiali 5 yuan / minicar.

Tips: in addition, you can also choose to take a rickshaw, the price is 3 yuan / car. But it only takes ten minutes to walk from the bus station, which is the most cost-effective. And don't believe what some tricycle masters say that they can take you to the scenic spot for free.
