Historical evolution
In 1648, dongke temple was built in ShiXiakou in the East and west of the city by the fourth dongke Jiayang mucuo. It lasted for three years. The architectural style is purely Tibetan. In the sixth year of Yongzheng reign, luobuzangdanjin rebelled against the Qing Dynasty, and the temple was reduced to ashes. In the fifth year of Yongzheng reign, dongke temple was moved to this location by Dong ke'ersonan Jiacuo. There are five main halls, two ear halls and five main doors, with cypress floor, pine ceiling and door leaves inlaid with bronze rings and gold nails. The gold bodies of Buddha Sakyamuni, Wenzhu, Puxian Bodhisattva and zongkaba are all gold-plated sculptures.
In dongke temple, the pillars are red and the golden dragons are twined around. Only from Beijing can we buy thousands of gold-plated copper Buddha statues. The camel passes through Suiyuan and Baotou to the temple, and special pavilions are built for worship. Emperor Qianlong specially granted the gold plaque "Te Pu Yao Xie Dan Shu Lin" and "Jia Shan Temple". Since then, the Qing government designated dongke temple as the place where the imperial ministers sacrificed to the sea Alliance on July 15 every year. Dongke Temple focuses on the cultivation of Esoteric Buddhism. It is most famous for its colored powder Dharma hall, which integrates the three essences of MI and daweifa. There are silver stupas of the fifth and seventh Dongke Living Buddhas in the temple.

In 1958, during the reform of the religious system, most of the precious cultural relics and archives were lost, and the main buildings of the temple were demolished. In 1985, the temple was reopened and a new Sutra hall was built
In the Qing Dynasty, the temple was built on a large scale, with 5 main halls, 2 ear halls, cypress floors, pine ceiling, animal heads, copper rings and gold nails inlaid on the door leaves. The statues of Sakyamuni, Manjusri, Puxian Bodhisattva and zongkaba are all gold-plated bronze statues. The red pillars of the hall are wrapped with golden dragons, and the golden eyes of the golden dragons are tilted up. They are flying in the clouds. All kinds of Buddha statues are wonderful. The fire courtyard in front of the hall is as flat as a stone. There are hundreds of monks' houses, warehouses, kitchens and discussion rooms. Among them, the living Buddha residence is extremely exquisite. In 1737 (the second year of the reign of Emperor Qianlong), after the completion of the temple, thousands of gilded bronze statues were bought back from Beijing, and special pavilions were built for worship. It was actually the leading Tibetan Buddhist temple in tangar, so the Emperor Qianlong granted a gold plaque and officially named it "Tepu tianxie Dan Shulin". As a result, the reputation of East Kor temple is growing day by day.
