In 2000, the autonomous region invested in the construction of a three-level mountain tourist highway from Buerjin to Kanas Lake, with a total length of 163 km. It was completed and opened to traffic in September 2001. Then the highway project from Kanas Lake to baihaba village was built, with a total length of more than 40 kilometers and an investment of more than 50 million yuan. It was completed and opened to traffic in 2005. The winter here is long and the summer is rainy. The real construction period is only about 4 months every year, and the whole line is open to traffic.
