Qianfo Mountain Forest Park

Qianfo Mountain Forest Park, 16 kilometers northwest of Yi County, is a provincial forest park with a total area of more than 20000 mu, a forest coverage rate of 95%, an average altitude of 1122.6 meters, and three main gullies. In the scenic area, there are many strange stones, many peaks, luxuriant trees and murmuring streams.

Scenic spot description

It is said that in the Sui Dynasty, some Buddhist craftsmen carved 1000 Buddha statues in a cave in shayukou for Buddhist disciples to learn and worship, hence the name of Qianfo Mountain. After the war, the hole was closed. Qianfo Mountain scenic area is rich in species, including hundreds of trees, shrubs and vines, hundreds of herbs and rare fungi, and more than ten kinds of rare wild animals. It is known as "Baobei wild species gene bank". The limestone all over the mountains and valleys is the best Shangshui stone. The mountains are magnificent and the forest is gloomy. It is made of jade and ice in winter and refreshing in summer.

Qianfo Mountain Forest Park is located 15 kilometers northwest of Yi County in Hebei Province, covering an area of more than 20000 mu. Qianfo Mountain is 7 kilometers away from the world cultural heritage "Qingxiling", 20 kilometers away from Yunmeng Mountain scenic spot, 40 kilometers away from the famous Zijingguan, 70 kilometers away from Langya Mountain scenic spot, 35 kilometers away from the famous Shidu scenic spot, and 50 kilometers away from Yesanpo scenic spot (less than 20 kilometers in diameter). There are many scenic spots around Qianfo Mountain. Because Yi county is only 110 kilometers away from Beijing, the central government has made Yi county a resource for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The state has built a highway from Zhangjiakou to Shijiazhuang for the Olympic Games. There are 60 kilometers in Yi County, with four exits. The exit of Qianfo Mountain is less than 15 kilometers away from the scenic spot.

Animals and plants

Qianfo Mountain Forest Park is a real forest park. The park has dense vegetation, a wide range of species, more than 60 kinds of national key protected plants and precious medicinal materials, more than 20 kinds of rare birds, and the forest coverage rate reaches 95%. There are five gullies with a diameter of nearly 5 km in the scenic area, each of which has its own characteristics and springs flowing down the river. There are more than 40 waterfalls in the scenic area, with the highest drop of 40 meters. At the altitude of 1100, there are two springs which have been flowing for thousands of years without ice. They can be called the holy spring of Qianfo Mountain. It is said that the local people can live a long life by drinking the holy spring water, and they can cure all kinds of diseases by using it

Route

Route from Tianjin, Shijiazhuang to Qianfo Mountain:

Take the Tianjin Baotou Expressway and go straight to Gaobeidian. Go to Yixian County and cross the county to 112 National Highway. Turn left for about 2 kilometers. There is Qianfo Mountain billboard. Turn right under the billboard for about 16 kilometers.

Route from Beijing to Qianfo Mountain:

Take Beijing Shijiazhuang expressway, get off Liulihe expressway, take Fangyi, pass Zhangfang and go straight to Yi County, turn right about 2km on national highway 112, turn right under the billboard of Qianfo Mountain, about 16km to Qianfo Mountain.
