On October 26, 2008, the construction of the Cross River Campaign Memorial Hall was officially started on the shore of Chaohu Lake in Binhu New District, Hefei City, Anhui Province. The planned land area for the construction of the project is about 220000 square meters, and the main building area of the memorial hall is about 20000 square meters. The planned site is like a peninsula protruding Chaohu Lake, just like a giant warship riding the wind and waves. The memorial hall was officially opened in April 2012.

The campaign of crossing the Yangtze River is the first campaign for the PLA to carry out strategic pursuit, and it is also a great starting point for the PLA to march into the whole country. The General Front Committee of the river crossing campaign headed by Comrade Deng Xiaoping was stationed in Yaogang village, CuO Town, Feidong County. The Cross River Campaign Memorial Hall is a national first-class Memorial Hall of the same scale as the Liaoshen, Pingjin and Huaihai Campaign Memorial Halls. In March 2017, the memorial hall of the cross river campaign was named the national patriotic education demonstration base by the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Opening to the outside world

Located at the southernmost end of Binhu New District, Hefei City, Anhui Province, the memorial hall of the cross river campaign faces the vast Chaohu Lake with an area of 800 square kilometers and a planned land area of 220000 square meters. It was officially opened to the public free of charge on November 28, 2012. From south to north, the memorial consists of the five pointed star victory tower, the group images of the General Front Committee and the memorial hall. The victory tower is 99 meters high, 9981, representing the victory of the "81" army. From the air, the overall construction is in the shape of a five pointed star. The large group sculptures of the General Front Committee of the river crossing campaign are made of all copper. From east to west, there are five members of the General Front Committee, Su Yu, Chen Yi, Liu Bocheng, Deng Xiaoping and Tan Zhenlin. The statue shows the great talent and magnanimous bearing of the five leaders in Yaogang, Hefei, who are planning strategies, winning thousands of miles and commanding millions of heroes to cross the Yangtze River.

The memorial hall of the battle of crossing the Yangtze River embodies the theme of water and warships. Its huge body is like two magnificent warships sailing side by side on the vast water, facing the Yangtze River in the south.

The ship's bow span is about 35 meters and the cantilever height is about 44 meters. The ground length of the memorial hall is 107 meters from north to South and 39 meters from south to north. The museum's body tilts forward at an angle of 49 degrees, symbolizing the victory of the cross river campaign in 1949. The main building area of the memorial hall is 14000 square meters. The basic display of "a million heroes crossing the river" in the museum fully demonstrates the famous battle of crossing the river at home and abroad.

There are many bright spots in the museum, including the largest indoor art group sculpture "victory", the latest phantom imaging, blue screen matting technology, the latest documentary "eight hundred soldiers and men crossing the river", more than 1000 precious revolutionary cultural relics, the half scene Gallery reflecting the soul stirring scene of crossing the River and the super realistic 4D film, etc., which can let every audience experience the most real battle of crossing the river It's the whole process.

Since its opening, with its unique patriotic education characteristics and red revolution theme exhibition, the memorial has attracted leaders at all levels, schools, youth groups and people from all walks of life to visit. As the patriotism education base of Anhui Province, the memorial hall of crossing the river campaign is not only a new landmark of Binhu New Area in Hefei City, but also a new model of red tourism in Hefei city and even Anhui Province.

In the near future, Hefei Cross River Campaign Memorial Hall will also launch a series of activities for festivals. At the same time, you can take a boat or boat to the wetland Lake tower, city tower and bird tower around the memorial.

Historical data

The campaign of crossing the Yangtze River lasted for 44 days, and more than 430000 Kuomintang troops were annihilated. It liberated the ruling center of the Kuomintang and the vast areas of Southern Jiangsu, Southern Anhui, Zhejiang, Northern Fujian, Eastern Hubei and northeastern Jiangxi, and opened up a road of victory for the people's Liberation Army to March rapidly across the country. Parking guide

As a large-scale public welfare scenic spot, the memorial hall of the battle of crossing the Yangtze River is also a large-scale leisure place for citizens to play. There are many parking spaces, which can meet the parking needs of large-scale activities. There are three parking areas around the memorial hall, and Yungu road at the entrance is also an open road suitable for parking. There is also a parking area beside Anhui celebrity hall nearby.

The parking area on Yungu road and the fixed parking area on Yungu road are located directly opposite the entrance of the memorial hall of the cross river campaign, which is the nearest fixed parking area on Yungu road. The location is excellent, open and convenient for parking, and there is no specific parking space limit. The capacity is about dozens of vehicles. Both sides of Yungu road can be parked. On Yixing day, in addition to the fixed parking area, both sides of Yungu road can also be parked. The capacity is about dozens of vehicles. With the fixed parking area, the total capacity is about 100 vehicles. There are signs on the east side of the starting point entrance of the east parking area (car) of the Dujiang Campaign Memorial Hall; there are many signs on the east side of the entrance of the Dujiang Campaign Memorial Hall, pointing to the easternmost parking area, which is convenient and fast, and is closest to Yungu Road. The parking lot is No. 3 parking lot of the memorial hall of the cross river campaign. It only parks small cars and has a capacity of about 70 vehicles.

Parking area (car) in the west of the Crossing River Campaign Memorial, there are signs in all parking lots to guide tourists. And each parking lot will also distinguish the big and small cars, in case the self driving can't park correctly.

Parking area of Tourist Service Center (cart and trolley) there are three parking areas around the tourist service center of the Cross River Campaign Memorial. One of the adjacent parking areas is reserved for sightseeing buses. The capacity of the remaining car parking spaces is about 20, while that of the cart parking spaces is less than 10.

In addition to the three parking areas mentioned above, the parking area (car) of Anhui Hall of fame goes to the West. There is also a parking spot at the entrance of Anhui Hall of fame beside the road, where many cars are parked loosely.
