Shimentan belongs to Yandang Mountain Scenic Area, which is about one kilometer southwest of Dajing town. There are cliffs and cliffs, standing like a gate. The runoff of shibatan in the upper reaches is 100% and converges here to form a huge pool. The pond is 400 meters long, 100 meters wide and 30 meters deep. It is the largest pond in Yandang.

Yandangshan shimentan

Located in Dajing Town, Yandang Shimen pool is located in the East Valley of Lingfeng scenic spot of Yandang Mountain. After the shibatan stream in the North upstream of Yandang Mountain flows through a hundred twists and turns, it converges and blends here, and rushes out two towering mountain gates with cliffs and walls, forming a giant pool more than 30 meters deep. It is the largest pool in Yandang. In 2010, the people's Government of Yueqing City announced that the stone carvings on shimentan cliff are the cultural relics protection units of Yueqing City. The two stone gates of shimentan are the prototypes of several famous beverage brands.

Shimen pool is 400 meters long, 100 meters wide and 30 meters deep. It is the largest pool in Yandang Mountain. It is a rare natural swimming pool. On the north side of the cliff, there are many sceneries, such as "the scholar peeps at the beauty", "the dragon and the tortoise listen to the teacher on the edge of the wall", etc. in the ten sceneries of Yanshan written by he Bai of Ming Dynasty, Shimen lake is listed as one of the ten sceneries of Yanshan.

According to the ancient records of Fengtai, "yuntiao mountain and Yinxi mountain stand side by side as Shimen, and the two mountains intersect to form Zhonghuo gate. The gate is 20 feet high, facing north and South in the west, and the distance between the two cliffs is 10 feet. There is a pool in the middle, 10 feet in diameter, and three feet in depth. The pool does not dry up all the year round and flows over the dashishan. Facing the stone gate, the cliff soars into the sky. Facing the cliff, carved with "shimentan" three words, vigorous and straight. Local legend is that Zhao Kuangyin, the founding emperor of Song Dynasty, left his hand when he was trapped in Nantang. Scholars of literature and history say that it was written by Li Daoyuan of the Northern Wei Dynasty. The reason is that there is a record of Xiyun spring in shuijingzhu: "the water of Xiyun spring is clean, pure in heart and bone, sweet in taste, above pearl and Qinyue.". Xiyun spring is the source of shimentan, and Li Daoyuan must pass through shimentan.

When you enter the stone gate, you will be in the front line of heaven. Suddenly, I came to a basin surrounded by mountains, the inscriptions in shimentan and the Xiyun spring Pavilion, which were exposed in clusters of peach trees. It is said that this is the camp where Zhao Kuangyin was trapped in Shouzhou and the ancient battlefield where soldiers were stationed in the Later Zhou Dynasty to fight and sink sand. "I've known a few battles and wept against Gong e", and the battle of the Southern Tang Dynasty in the Later Zhou Dynasty left a sad song for Empress Li. On the west side of the cliff, there is a "fairy stove" with two stone bowls, a firewood pit under it and a smoke vent on it.

There is also a beautiful legend about this mountain stream. In ancient times, a dragon in the Nantang pond in the North became essence, harming people everywhere. The emperor sent the gods to eliminate the demons. After the God came down to earth, he took a bow and arrow to shoot at the dragon on Laoheishan, the highest peak in the south. Because of the barrier of the middle mountain, the first arrow did not shoot through, forming a mountain stream in the West. The second arrow successfully split the mountain and killed the dragon. The spring water from the south is also introduced into the Nantang pool, which flows continuously throughout the year.

Shimentan is a corridor of ancient culture in Bagongshan. There are ancient tombs and sites nearby. It is a place where ancient literati set foot.

Nowadays, shimentan is the focus of tourism resources development in Bagong mountain area and Shanwang town. The barren mountain has been developed by the simple villagers around, and thousands of mu of peach trees, pear trees and apricot trees have been planted. In spring, thousands of trees and flowers bloom all over the mountains, pink peach blossom and apricot blossom, white pear blossom and ten thousand mu rape flower sea. It makes people feel as if they have come to a paradise.

Lin'an shimentan power station

The shimentan water control project in Lin'an is one of the key projects of the municipal government in 2003. It is understood that the project is a water conservancy project integrating flood control, power generation, irrigation, tourism development and other functions, with a total investment of 60 million yuan. It is composed of a reservoir with a water storage capacity of 3.2 million cubic meters and two power stations with a total installed capacity of 6400 kW / H. the dam height of the first stage power station is 47 meters. Shimentan water control project will be fully completed. Shimentan reservoir has a flood control regulation capacity of 1.68 million cubic meters. After its completion, it can effectively prevent the flood disaster in Xinqiao Township, and ensure the safety of more than 2000 mu of cultivated land in the downstream and the lives and property of the villagers. At the same time, the power station can provide nearly 20 million kilowatt hours of power to the power grid every year, easing the current tense situation of power consumption in our city.
