Liuliping National Forest Park
Liuliping National Forest Park is located in Xinglong County, Chengde City, Hebei Province, 13 kilometers southeast of the county, at the junction of Beijing, Tianjin, Tang, Cheng and Lang cities, 130 kilometers away from Beijing, 150 kilometers away from Tianjin, 130 kilometers away from Tangshan, 160 kilometers away from Langfang, 145 kilometers away from Chengde summer resort. The total area of the park is 22.5 square kilometers, the forest coverage rate is 84%, and the highest peak is 1442 meters.
Liuliping National Forest Park is located in the middle of the Yanshan Mountains, which is a transition region from warm temperate zone to cold temperate zone. The climate type is temperate semi humid and semi-arid monsoon mountain climate. The forest vegetation of the park belongs to temperate deciduous broad-leaved forest, and the vegetation type belongs to North China flora, Hebei Henan sub province and Hebei flora.
This is the northern limit for macaques.
Liuliping National Forest Park was approved as a national forest park by the State Forestry Administration in December 2004. In November 2007, it was approved as a provincial Macaque Nature Reserve by the Ministry of environmental protection.
Location context
Liuliping National Forest Park is located in Xinglong County, Chengde city. Its geographical coordinates are 40 ° 18 ′ 20 ″ - 40 ° 21 ′ 10 ″ N and 117 ° 28 ′ 28 ″ - 117 ° 35 ′ 34 ″ E. The total area of the park is 22.5 square kilometers, including 10.25 square kilometers of Liuliping forest tourist resort and 12.25 square kilometers of jiulongtan tourist resort.
Located at the junction of Beijing, Tianjin, Tangshan and Chengde, the park is 165 km away from Beijing, 180 km away from Tianjin and 145 km away from Chengde summer resort. The park is located in the middle of the golden tourist line in North Beijing. It is 25 kilometers away from the Qing Dongling mausoleum in the south, 20 kilometers away from Wuling Mountain National Nature Reserve in the north, 50 kilometers away from Jinhai Lake tourist area and Huangyaguan Great Wall in the west, and only 5 kilometers away from Xinglong observation station of Beijing Observatory in the northeast.

Liuliping Forest Park is located in the middle part of Yanshan Mountains, which is a part of Yanshan subsidence zone in North China platform. The landform in the park is mainly caused by the rapid subsidence area of Sinian, which deposited more than 5000 meters thick Sinian rock layer. The Mesozoic Yanshanian movement formed folds and faults. Due to the interaction of internal force, external force and surface components, as well as the action of fold and fault tectonic movement, the towering landscape with overlapping peaks, sharp cutting, narrow valleys, steep slopes and dangerous peaks is formed. The altitude ranges from 430m to 1442m, and the highest peak is the main peak of Liuliping at 1442m.

Liuliping Forest Park is located in the middle latitude, which is the transition region from warm temperate zone to cold temperate zone. The climate type is temperate semi humid and semi-arid monsoon mountain climate. The climate type is divided into middle mountain, middle temperature and semi humid area. Due to the complex topography and the influence of the main peak of Yanshan mountain on the atmospheric circulation, the climate features are warm and humid in summer, less severe cold in winter, four distinct seasons, hot rain in the same season, and large temperature difference between day and night. The annual average temperature is 7.5 ℃ - 8.5 ℃, the average temperature in the hottest month is 22.5 ℃ - 23.5 ℃, and the average temperature in the coldest month is - 8.6 ℃ - 11 ℃. The average annual rainfall is 630mm-800mm, the maximum annual rainfall is 1126mm, the minimum annual rainfall is 459mm, and the average annual relative humidity is more than 60%. The frost free period is 140 days, the total sunshine hours is 2842 hours, the annual average sunshine rate is 64%, and the annual total solar radiation is 133 kcal / cm2.

The plant resources in the scenic spot include pine, oak, birch, poplar, Tilia and other tall trees, huangbaoluo, a national first-class protected plant, and Juglans mandshurica, a third-class protected plant. There are hazelnut, chestnut, walnut, mushroom, red fruit and other economic trees.
Animal resources
There are more than 160 kinds of wild animals such as monkey, roe deer, leopard, antelope, pheasant, hare and pigeon in the scenic area. Among them, macaque and leopard are the second class protected animals.
Main attractions
Liuyuan Lake
Liuyuan Lake in the park is the birthplace of Liuhe river, with a total area of 20000 square meters and a deepest depth of 5 meters. It is a high mountain lake with an altitude of more than 1000 meters.
Xiaohuangshan in North China
Xiaohuangshan scenic spot in the north is a microcosm of Huangshan in Anhui Province. It is famous for its unique pines and rocks, including the sun viewing Pavilion, overpass, lotus peak, golden cicada singing the sun, python coming out of the cave, hanging stone cave, welcoming pine and three sisters pine.

Development and construction
During the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, the park was granted as "the forbidden area of dragon and geomantic omen after the eastern Mausoleum of the Qing Dynasty" by the imperial court, and was banned for more than 270 years.
In 1956, a state-owned forest farm was established, with special personnel for afforestation and forest protection.
In August 1997, it was approved as a provincial forest park by the former forestry department of Hebei Province
Since 2003, it has been contracted by Qinhuangdao Oasis Hotel.
In December 2004, it was approved as a national forest park by the State Forestry Administration.
In November 2007, the provincial Macaque Nature Reserve was established. The main protected objects are forest ecosystem and wildlife dominated by macaques.
Traffic information
Starting from Beijing, go through Miyun by Jingjian highway, turn southeast to Xinglong County, and then change to nanshuangdong sipuzi rural highway by Nanmugou.

In order to make up for the lack of cultural attractions, Liuliping National Forest Park has built a delta CS base for emerging fashion military sports and an outward bound training base for cultivating character and skills.
