The Miao transliteration "fangbai", which means the Miao branch on the high slope, is an ancient minority village. The village is located in a mountain depression surrounded by mountains and facing each other. It is an important forest area in Taijiang County, where the distant mountains are like Dai and the near peaks are green and quiet. There are more than 440 households in the village, all of which are Miao people. The houses are all wooden structure stilts. They follow the mountain trend and climb up the mountain in order. In the village, there are Qingliu stream passing through the village, bullfight terrace, drum sacrifice mountain, Yilang, Canggu cave and other unique scenery for you to visit. The literature and art of Fanpai village are rich and colorful in various forms. Miao literature and art are mostly reflected here, which is highly praised by experts and scholars at home and abroad. Gate literature has prose style, rap style and poetry style. The vocal music has the withering in the flying song, the love song tune, the wine song tune and so on. The vocal music includes wooden drum, Lusheng, mangtong, Muye and so on, while the dance mainly includes wooden drum dance and Lusheng dance. There are cross stitch, embroidery and so on.

It is said that more than 2000 years ago, Prince Yegu and his wife first came to the remote mountainous area of Fanpai and lived there. They opened up mountains and cultivated land and developed into today's Fanpai village. Today, Fanpai village still preserves the ancient Miao ancestor worship customs and strict rules, and the witches, drum heads, village elders, and singers (who are in charge of the judicial, commanding, Council, public security, and ceremonial duties respectively). The main customs (festivals) are the Lunar New Year celebration on the ugly day of October, the bridge worship Festival on the second day of February, and the ancestor worship festival once every 13 years.

The first batch of national intangible cultural heritage

Anti paimu drum dance is a kind of sacrificial dance passed down from generation to generation, which reflects the feat of Miao ancestors who braved difficulties and obstacles, made long-distance migration, opened up territory, fenced hunting and created a better life. This kind of dance is the symbol of "mother butterfly", the God of human creation in Miao mythology. It was created by Jiang Yang, the ancestor of Miao nationality, and began to be worshipped. It has been followed by later generations. In the past, wooden drum dance can only be performed in the solemn ceremony of ancestor worship once every 13 years. Now it has evolved into a national dance for fitness. The dance is divided into five chapters. The main rhythm of the dance is the beating of drums. It is composed of basic movements such as stepping, leaping, leaping and swinging the same hand.
