Biblical Temple
Biblical temple, Mongolian Lamaism temple. Zhalanyingzi village, dashijiazi Township, is located in baihuali, northeast of Zhangwu County. Kangping in the northeast and Faku in the southeast. It was first built in the 21st year of Daoguang (1841). Sitting on the ridge of Guishan mountain, surrounded by eight mountains.
Basic introduction
Founder I, who believed in Lama Bao gancaozarambi (from Chaoyang), followed the will of benefactor bintu and went all over the country to raise funds for construction. Originally, he planned to build 981, but only 78.
The main hall of 78 three storey pavilions with brilliant color walls, the beams, columns and brackets on the first floor (Sutra chanting Hall) and the second floor (Sutra Collection Hall) are exquisitely carved and brightly colored; the three walls (except the north wall) are painted with murals on the inside and outside of the hall, with vivid pictures of reincarnation, eight trigrams and astronomy, four heavenly kings Sakyamuni Buddha, Heavenly King Buddha, Dharma protector and the folk legend "qingniu" "White Ya" and other legends. It covers an area of 20000 square meters. It is named "Hunyuan Buddha gate", which includes three mountain gates (demolished), 14 left and right rooms (demolished), seven kitchens (demolished) and several auxiliary courtyard (Lama dormitory), a pair of stone lions and flagpoles (demolished) in front of the Mountain Gate. The architectural style of the temple imitates the Potala Palace in Tibet, which is a zirconium steel building.
Historical evolution
In the 27th year of Guangxu (1901), the second Lama Bao Gancao tugojie was famous for his extensive collection of scriptures. There were 512 lamas. Two white pagodas were built in the northeast of the main hall (destroyed during the "Cultural Revolution") and the temple was named "Biblical Temple", which has been handed down to the present day. In 1988, biblical temple was listed as a provincial cultural relic protection unit.
Biblical temple, commonly known as zhalanmiao temple, is located in zhalanyingzi village, 50 kilometers northeast of Zhangwu County. Biblical temple was the left wing front banner of Horqin in Zhelimu League in the middle and late Qing Dynasty. At the beginning of the Republic of China, it belonged to kezuoqian banner of Xing'an general province. Before 1931, it was under the jurisdiction of Kangping County when the banners and counties coexisted. In 1931, it was under the jurisdiction of kedongqian banner of Xing'an southern province. Since 1949, it has been under the jurisdiction of Zhangwu County.
Temple scale
Biblical temple was built at the end of Daoguang and the beginning of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty, covering an area of more than 20000 square meters. The main hall is a three storey Pavilion, also known as "Tso Qin Du Gang", which means "Da Jing Tang". Biblical temple is the scientific name, and its Tibetan name is "Xixiang Bede Beixi, the auspicious teaching method of panxizhou, which is extremely successful in all fields". The structure of the main hall is three floors, with flat roofs on the first and second floors, and a herringbone palace style building on the back of the third floor. Eighty one. There is a mountain gate in front of the main hall. On both sides of the mountain gate is the heavenly king hall.
Inside the gate, there are zhuanjing Pavilion and Guandi temple. Behind the main hall, there are great Buddha Hall and white pagoda. Around the main hall, there are zhaifang. Inside the complex, there are living Buddha and Lama houses. With the development of time, there is only one hall with three floors. The main body of the hall is characterized by thick walls and small windows of Tibetan brick and stone structure, with Han style wall ridge. The stone lion sitting in front of the door has a vivid shape. The lion sitting is carved with Chinese classical masterpieces such as "Qilin Tubao", "horse running to the cloud", "crane and deer", and "Qin, Qi, calligraphy and painting".
The color paintings in the main hall are important remains of Biblical temple. There are more than 150 kinds of paintings, including portraits, calligraphy and paintings, magic tools, mascots, religious paintings and decorative paintings. Although the painting has a history of more than 150 years, its color is still very bright, which is unique to Biblical temple in Liaoning Province.
The color paintings of Biblical temple and the cliffside statues of Qianfo Mountain are a perfect match. Biblical temple is the only three storey Pavilion Hall of Tibetan Buddhism Mongolian Lama Temple in Liaoning Province. It has a unique style and is worth cherishing. Now it is a provincial cultural relic protection unit in Liaoning Province.
