Gao Meigu

Gaomeigu is located in Tai'an Township in Yulong County, 3200 meters above sea level. It is a small village with only 26 families. The observation station is not far from the village. After five years of construction, the 2.4m telescope has been installed, and the living facilities around it are becoming more and more perfect. There is even a basketball court in the observatory. It is known as the "new harem" in Lijiang.

The distance from Gaomeigu to Lijiang is about 50km, which is easy to walk. The advantages of Gaomeigu are high altitude, good transparency and open space. But for ordinary lovers, this is not the paradise in imagination. In addition to the strong wind and low temperature, the northeast direction is still affected by Lijiang City lighting.

On a clear day, standing at Gaomeigu observation station, you can easily see the Yulong Snow Mountain tens of kilometers away. Standing there and looking south, it's no problem to see Cangshan Mountain 150 kilometers away in Dali.
