Construction process

For more than ten years, under the abbot of Chengguan and master Jingyi, Famen Temple has successively built Tang style buildings such as Daxiong hall, jade Buddha Hall, Zen hall, ancestral hall, Zhaitang, Liaofang and Buddhist Academy.
In July 2002, the people's Government of Shaanxi Province, after many investigations and studies, believed that the completion of Famen temple cultural scenic spot would play a strategic role in promoting the construction of our province and even the western region. According to reports, the newly completed Hemen Temple relic tower is 148 meters high, and its shape is like hands. The hollow out part in the middle is a traditional form of Tang tower. The whole building has a unique shape and magnificent momentum. A 1230 meter long and 108 meter wide Foguang Avenue is laid in front of the Hexi relic tower.
