Houbantang ancient village
Houbantang ancient village is located in Xiaotang Township, northeast of Fengcheng City, Jiangxi Province, with good tourism transportation and location advantages. It is about 60 kilometers away from Nanchang, the provincial capital, and 17 kilometers away from Fengcheng station of Beijing Kowloon Railway and Zhejiang Jiangxi railway.

Houbantang village was built in the Xuande period of Ming Dynasty (1426-1436), where the Tu family lived. It is an ancient historical and cultural village with a typical combination of feudal government and business, a wide gap between the rich and the poor, and a strict hierarchy. It is 115 degrees 55 minutes east longitude and 28 degrees 13 minutes north latitude. It covers an area of 156000 square meters and a building area of 4216 square meters. The houses are arranged vertically from south to north. There are 68 households and 226 people in the village. Except for the married women from other places, all of them are surnamed Tu.
Architecture and landscape
There are so many ancient buildings here, with complete preservation and exquisite carving techniques, which are second to none in Jiangxi Province. The perfect combination of the ancient village and the surrounding environment can be regarded as a model of the high unity of Chinese ancient architectural art and Feng Shui thought. The "dafudi" building group in houbantang has complex structure, large scale, 36 patios, smooth roadway, solid Gables, exquisite wood carving, vivid flowers, birds, insects, fish, palaces, boats and figures. It is a master of Chinese wood carving techniques. Scattered officials of the civil service, plaque playing, and Peng Yulin, the governor of the Qing Dynasty, handed down the palace relics of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, more than 30 pieces of sweat and white jade inscribed on the stone steles, all of which are the essence of many cultural treasures in Xiao Tong village. Houbantang village sparrow is small, hepatobiliary, tourism resources are very rich. The area outside the village is open, with Dasheng (mountain) towering to the south, dense river branches, egrets flying, lotus blossoming and beautiful scenery. The layout of the village is neat and uniform, exquisite and elegant. The ancient buildings are concentrated and intact. They are both ornamental and practical. There are many Ming Dynasty cultural relics in the village, which can be a "small winning platform" in the south of the Yangtze River. There are fishing, fruit and vegetable picking, boating, folk show and other tourism projects.
