introduce
Lishui towel mountain pagoda is a municipal cultural relic protection unit. It was built before the third year of Ming Dynasty (1438). It is an ancient pagoda with few remains in the whole province. It is an important landmark of Lishui ancient city. You can see Lishui City from the pagoda.
The stone carvings in the pagoda are rough and steady with local characteristics. The whole pagoda is made of purple red volcanic breccia rock blocks from the top of the pagoda, which is rare in our province.
appearance
There are seven floors in the pagoda. Inside, there are steps leading to the top of the pagoda. On the cliff of the top of the pagoda, there are several Guanyin and Buddha statues.
Maintenance engineering
The maintenance project and lightning protection project of Jinshan tower, a municipal cultural relic protection unit, were completed. On May 31, 2005, the project met the design requirements and the principle of cultural relic maintenance, and passed the completion acceptance. The pagoda was built before the third year of Zhengtong (1438) of the Ming Dynasty, and partially repaired in 1845 and 1982.
However, due to the uneven subsidence of the tower foundation, the tower body, stone beams, and door stones are cracked in many places, and even partially collapsed. The eaves of the tower are partially collapsed due to wind erosion and lightning strike, and the damage is serious, which seriously threatens the stability and safety of the tower.
In order to save this historical and cultural heritage, the municipal government appropriated special funds for maintenance. In 2003, the repair plan of Jinshan Pagoda in Lishui City was compiled. In late November 2004, the repair was started according to the principle of "not changing the original state of cultural relics". In May 2005, it was completed and passed the inspection and acceptance.
The tower will also organize the implementation of lighting projects. After the renovation, the pagoda stands on the top of the mountain, which is more simple and beautiful. With the southern expansion of the city, the pagoda will become another beautiful cultural relic landscape in Lishui City.
legend
According to legend: Hutou mountain is changed by Tiger demon. There is also a mountain opposite to Hutou mountain in the south of the city, which is shaped like a towel, called Jin mountain. Jin mountain is changed by dragon demon.
The two mountains are peaceful during the day, but they often move at night to close the river.
As a result, the confluence of Oujiang River and Haoxi river often floods, drowning fields and houses, killing people.
One year, a family of four came to Oujiang.
At the turn of spring and summer, the two demons made waves, and the flood swept away the blacksmith's father, wife and son.
With a deep hatred, the blacksmith spent half a year making two long iron nails.
Finally, the dragon and tiger demons were nailed to JINZI mountain and fo Touyan by long nails, and the water of Oujiang River was smooth and calm.
The nail demon's long nail left in the outside part became the towel mountain tower and Xiahe tower.
Therefore, although it is only a tower, but it is related to the fengshui of Lishui, so we should focus on protection!
