Completed in July 2007, it is located in Genghis Khan street, Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is a modern gymnasium with perfect function and large scale in Western China.

brief introduction

Inner Mongolia gymnasium is located in the west of Genghis Khan street in Hohhot, covering an area of 66700 square meters, with a construction area of 33255 square meters, 170 meters long, 93 meters wide and 25 meters high. The gymnasium is composed of competition hall and affiliated hall. The competition hall has 6000 seats, which can be used for indoor sports such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, handball, wrestling, boxing, etc., and can be compatible with large-scale artistic performances, acrobatic performances and other assembly activities.

Its completion not only provides a new place for the masses of leisure and entertainment activities, but also greatly improves the sports infrastructure, and establishes a broader platform for promoting the development of competitive sports in the autonomous region, enriching the cultural and entertainment life of the people in the capital, and carrying out large-scale cultural and sports exchange activities.

Architectural design

The design, construction and facilities of the new gymnasium in Inner Mongolia are all at the advanced level in the world. The floor materials are all wood floors, which fully meet the requirements of holding large-scale international table tennis competitions. The main hall covers an area of 2400 square meters, the attached hall 3500 square meters and the practice hall 3000 square meters, which can ensure that more than 160 tables can be placed for athletes to compete and practice. The lighting brightness of the main hall, attached hall and practice hall can reach more than 1500lux, and the number of seats in the stands of the new gymnasium in Inner Mongolia can accommodate 6000 spectators. During the competition, a relatively independent office area will be provided on the first floor of the gymnasium for the officials of swazilin International Club and the organizing committee, equipped with necessary office equipment. At the same time, a special rest area was set up for officials. An independent medical area is set up in the competition venue. Professional medical personnel are assigned to the athletes' residence to provide all-weather high-quality service for the officials and athletes of the competition. A news center is set up and relevant equipment is provided for the news media to release relevant events.

There are news media rooms, rest rooms for athletes, coaches and referees, doping control rooms, VIP clubs, conference rooms, VIP goods storage rooms, VIP boxes and ancillary rooms. The affiliated training hall has the functions of warm-up hall, indoor air track, tennis hall, sports exhibition, gymnasium, athlete bath, sports medical treatment, etc. The gymnasium is full of the flavor of the times, with novel and unique design, fashionable and beautiful design, fully reflecting the international standard concept.

During the competition, a fitness service area can accommodate 600-800 people to shower and change clothes at the same time. At least 20 restaurants, fast food restaurants and cafes with different flavors will be set up in the rest hall and the periphery of the gymnasium, including a corresponding number of Islamic restaurants.

Inner Mongolia Gymnasium (newly built) is located at No.28 Genghis Khan street, new urban district, Hohhot City, with a total area of 68000 square meters, a total construction area of 34000 square meters and a green area of 22000 square meters.

There are 445 parking spaces in the East, West and south of the gymnasium.

There are five plastic tennis courts and two basketball courts on the south side of the first floor of the stadium, with a total area of 5000 square meters. There is a large music fountain at the north gate of the gymnasium, and lighting system is set around the gymnasium and green lawn.

The stadium is divided into two parts: the main hall and the attached hall. The main hall can accommodate 5733 spectators (including 3420 fixed seats and 2313 activity seats). The area of activity seats is more than 2500 square meters. It can carry out various indoor sports events, large-scale gatherings, celebrations and undertake various artistic performances. It is a multi-functional modern stadium.

World veteran Table Tennis Championships

According to the competition rules of the world veteran table tennis championships, the minimum area of each table is 5m × 10m

The main venue is 2500 square meters, with 35 competition tables;

Vice hall 1 (Exhibition Center on the first floor) covers an area of more than 2600 square meters, with 30 competition tables;

Vice hall 2 (tennis hall on the third floor) is 1420 square meters, with 21 competition tables;

Vice Hall 3 (basketball hall on the third floor) has 1338 square meters, with 18 competition tables; vice Hall 4 (new hall opposite the gymnasium) has 2100 square meters on the first floor, with 30 competition tables; 2398 square meters on the second floor, with 38 competition tables;

The practice hall (the third floor of the shooting Hall of the first sports team) is 1428 square meters, with 32 training tables;

On the first floor of the vice hall, there are more than 2600 square meters of exhibition center, news release center, athletes' lounge, conference room and other supporting facilities;

On the second floor, there are two VIP reception rooms, kitchen, dining room, bath center and E-sports room;

On the third floor, there are 1338 square meters of Basketball Hall, 1420 square meters of tennis hall, 299 square meters of gymnasium and 129 square meters of sporting goods hall;

On the fourth floor, there are 201 square meters of dance room, 88 square meters of aerobics room, 385 square meters of fitness hall and 100 meters of circular track.
