Aodong city is in the southeast corner of Dunhua City, near the Mudanjiang River. As the capital of Bohai, it was the political, economic and cultural center at the beginning of the founding of the people's Republic of China. After the Tang Dynasty, the sumo tribe was the main body, combined with some Gaogouli people, to establish Zhenguo (also known as Zhenguo) in the first year of Shengli (698). In the second year of Xiantian (713), Dazao was granted the title of "Bohai Prefecture of zuoxiaowei general" by Tang Dynasty. He still ruled huhanzhou and was granted the title of "Dudu of huhanzhou" by Tang Dynasty, which was the capital of Bohai. At the end of Tianbao, the third king of Wen, daqinmao, moved his capital to Longquan mansion in Shangjing. At its heyday, it was "five thousand li in the local area" and was known as the "prosperous state of Haidong" in history. Bohai has a very close relationship with the Central Plains. It has sent people to Chang'an more than 130 times, and the Tang Dynasty has sent people to Bohai more than ten times. Bohai princes and noble children came to the Central Plains to study. Wen Tingyun, a poet, wrote the poem "sending the prince of Bohai to return home:" although there is a heavy sea in Xinjiang, there is a family of cars and books. Sheng Xun returned to the old country, the best sentence in China. Demarcation points rise in autumn, sail to the dawn area. If you look back, you will see the end of the world. "
The walls of the city are built with earth, and there are inner and outer cities. The inner city is square and the outer city is rectangular. To the west, there is a road leading to fuyufu (today's Nongan area), and to the East, there is a thoroughfare connecting Tokyo city. The convenient transportation proves that the Bohai Kingdom and the Central Plains have a lot of contacts.

They all refer to Aodong City, that is, today's Dunhua, which is different from the Chinese characters. "Aodong" means "tuyere" in Manchu. Because aixinjueluobel, the ancestor of the Qing Dynasty, once lived here, he was regarded as the birthplace of the Qing Dynasty and ordered to ban it. Since 1681 (the 20th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty), this place has been closed for nearly 200 years, becoming a hunting ground to pay tribute to the imperial court. In 1878 (the fourth year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty), Jilin Reclamation Bureau found that there were refugees in akedun. Jilin general sent personnel to investigate and deal with the famine. In 1882 (the eighth year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty), the Qing government set up a county in akedun, and set up a county office one kilometer northwest of Aodong City, which was subordinate to Jilin Province. When the county was set up, the name of the county was "Dunhua", which was taken from the term "great virtue Dunhua" in the four books of the doctrine of the mean, and contained the meaning of "governing by virtue".
