Li Changyu, a well-known expert in international criminal investigation, who is known as "scientific detective" and "contemporary Sherlock Holmes", was born in Changxiang, Rucheng in 1938. When he was young, he went to Taiwan with his mother's family. In 1965, he studied in the United States with $50. In 1979, he became the director of the criminal laboratory and chief forensic expert of the Connecticut police department. In July 1998, he served as the director of the Connecticut police department, becoming the first state level Chinese American police officer in the United States, and the highest ranking Asian American law enforcement officer in American history. Li Changyu has participated in the investigation of more than 8000 cases, and has won more than 800 honorary awards so far. He has played an important role in major current affairs cases with global attention, such as the Simpson wife murder case, the retrial of John F. Kennedy assassination case, the forensic investigation after the September 11 incident, and the March 19 shooting case in Taiwan.
