Located in the east of Taibao town of Lianshan in Qingyuan, Luming pass has always been the throat of Lianshan. It is said that when Zheng Zhilong, the father of Zheng Chenggong, led his army from Lianzhou to Lianshan, he built roads in the area of Lumingguan today. During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, Liu Yunyuan, the county magistrate of Lianshan, entered Lianshan from Huangshui to perform his duties. He had no choice but to chant: "whoever is near Huangshui is not ill, and the road to Lianshan is always uneven." However, this county magistrate, full of complaints, devoted himself to the construction of Lianshan. In 1680, he built a stone pass at the place where Zheng Zhilong split the mountain, which was called "jilongguan". In the Qing Dynasty, a belt to the east of Taibao in Lianshan county was sparsely populated. Jiming pass is Lianshan in the West and Sanjiang in Lianzhou in the East. When businessmen from Lianshan to Lianzhou approach the pass, they can vaguely hear the Jiming of Sanjiang. Therefore, the name of "jilongguan" is changed to "Jiming Guan". In the 22nd year of Jiaqing (1817), Lianshan hall, knowing that Xu Weiqing rebuilt "Jiming pass" and advised Wen Yan "Luming", changed the name of the pass to "Luming pass". In the imperial examination system, the Lu Ming banquet, which was set up for the new imperial examination, was a liberal arts banquet, which began in the Tang Dynasty. In the Tang Dynasty, when the local examination was released, the governor of the state and county came forward to entertain the candidates. Because the poem "Lu Ming" in "the book of songs · Xiaoya" was to be sung at the banquet, it was named Lu Ming banquet. The name "Lu Ming" reflects the deep expectation of Lianshan people for Lianshan students to go to the state capital to get the title on the examination list.

Historical evolution
It is said that when Zheng Zhilong, the father of Zheng Chenggong, led his army from Lianzhou to Lianshan, he built roads in the area of today's Lumingguan, and led troops to guard here.
It used to be the border pass between Lianshan and Lianzhou, "the pass is located in the mountain pepper, and the interruption is like the door," which is compared to "the key of Lianshan and the throat of Yaopai". Before the establishment of the border defense, when the generals of Guangdong, guai, Chu, Henan, and Fujian met to suppress the "Yao rebellion", Zheng Zhilong, the chief soldier of Fujian Province, once led his troops to carve mountains and cut stones to cultivate Taoism, and personally wrote the word "Diya" on the stone wall of the border, which is called "gouzijing" by later generations.
In 1690, Liu Yunyuan, the county magistrate of the Qing Dynasty, set up a stone pass at fanglei, which was called Jilong pass or Jiming pass. In the 47th year, when Li laizhang, magistrate of the county, donated his salary for reconstruction, he built a pavilion at the top of the gate, a food hut at the bottom, a tea pavilion beside it, and a "quejin Pavilion" for Guan Hou, a former general of the Han Dynasty, facing Youling. In the 12th year of Daoguang (1832), when Xu Weiqing rebuilt the hall, he built a watchtower at the pass, which made baichi Xiongguan more powerful and dangerous, and changed its name to Luming pass with the meaning of "Lu Ming banquet wenbang". In 1938, when Lianhe highway was opened in the middle of the mountain, the historic sites gradually disappeared, but the scenery became more magnificent, especially famous for its natural danger. In 1954, the poet Chen Ludi passed by Luming pass. He wrote a poem "thousands of mountains, the road turns sharp, a whistle flies over Luming pass", describing the natural danger of steep mountains and deep valleys in the pass.
In the 22nd year of Jiaqing (1817) of Qing Dynasty, Lianshan hall learned that Xu Weiqing rebuilt "Jiming pass", which took the meaning of "Wenyan" Luming "and changed the name of the pass to" Luming pass ".
In 1938, after the outbreak of the Anti Japanese War, the Kuomintang government of Guangdong Province moved to Lianxian county (at that time, the provincial government was stationed in Yandong, Xianghua village, Sanjiang Town, and the Provincial Department of finance was stationed in Yanping library, Sanjiang Town). It was in urgent need of a passage to the southwest rear area. As a result, it opened mountains and built a road from Lianxian County, Guangdong Province to He county, Guangxi Province. As a result, the historic sites of Luming pass disappeared. From the day it was officially opened to traffic, this highway has become an important channel connecting Guangdong and Guangxi.
After liberation, in 1955, the government restored the section from Lumingguan to Taibao. According to Mo Zishen, a Lianshan scholar, at that time, when the poet Lu Di drove past the Luming pass, he wrote a poem "thousands of mountains / a sharp turn of the road / a whistle / flying over the Luming pass". In 1992, the road from Lumingguan to yingyangguan was built according to the national highway standard.
At the beginning of the 21st century, the 323 national highway of Luming pass was upgraded and reconstructed, and the Luming pass tunnel was built, which was the highway passing through Luming pass.
In 2013, er Guang Expressway passed through here, and a 3202m long Lumingguan tunnel was built.
Tourism development
In the Qing Dynasty alone, there were some vivid and beautiful poems written by Jian Chengxuan, Li laizhang, Zhang Shiqian and Yu Changling. As early as 1915, Luming pass was designated as one of the "eight sceneries of Lianshan", which was called "autumn moon of Luming pass". Later, when Sanjiang people chose the "eight sceneries of Sanjiang", they called it "autumn high of Luming pass".
In order to enhance the city's image, create a livable environment, and provide citizens and tourists with a diversified activity place integrating sightseeing, leisure and nostalgia, in 2011, Liannan invested more than 2 million yuan to build the Luming Park in Luming pass. The park is small, with a total area of no more than 16 mu. It has pavilions, promenades, square lights, sculptures and parking roads.
