Baishanbu monument is located about 5 kilometers from the county seat of burjin County in Xinjiang to Kanas. It was specially built to commemorate baishanbu dunanbai, a Kazakh Folk composer and the founder of Dongbula music. The monument is 8 meters high and covers an area of 150 square meters.

Profile

Baishanbu was born in 1803 and died in 1872. In his whole life, he composed more than 400 pieces of folk music mainly composed of Dongbula. Among them, the famous music such as "lone hero" and "vigorous brown horse" created by him is still widely recited among Kazakh people. Kazak is a nation that is good at singing and dancing. Musicians and poets are highly respected. Dongbula is a two string musical instrument, easy to learn, easy to carry, is a traditional Kazakh musical instrument, almost every family has. At that time, baishanbu dunanbai was carrying a handful of Dongbula. He traveled on the grassland all the year round to spread his music. At the same time, he often worked hard to calm down the disputes between tribes and resolve the contradictions between groups.

Baishanbu dunanbai was first a local official, then a musician. In 1824, King kuogdai, the local governor of Altay, died. For a time, the people had no backbone. At that time, there were always disputes of one kind or another among the people, such as grassland, water, civil and so on. In order to facilitate management, we elected four Bi, known as "the four major Bi". At that time, the Kazakh accounted for half of the ethnic minorities in Altay, and the four big Bi ethnic groups were the most influential people in the Kazakh abakkeriyi clan, among which baishanbu dunanbai was one. At that time, he was only 37, the youngest.

Baishanbu dunanbai is a member of burzinkeri tribe. He has been fond of playing and singing Dongbula since he was a child and has a good musical talent. He was born in a poor herdsman's family in Buerjin County, Altay, Xinjiang. He learned to play Dongbula from his father when he was young, and later he learned from folk artist bozidak. When baishanbu was 14 years old, his father was killed by bandits. In order to remember his father and express his deep hatred for the enemy, baishanbu created the famous Dongbula song "the brave hero", which is the first music created by baishanbu. After that, in the course of several decades of creation, he has created more than 100 pieces of Dongbula, sberzike and hubuzi music, becoming a famous folk composer of Kazakh in China.
