Nayun ancient town
Up to now, Nayun ancient town has a history of more than 700 years. "Nayun" means "navengyun" in Dai language, which means "Neijing". The communication between the inland and the frontier has formed the architectural complex of Dai and Han nationalities with different styles. Nayun is composed of "three cities and two towns", which are arranged in the order of registration from top to bottom.
brief introduction
This is the last Dai town in China.
In the Tusi era, the upper city was the residence of Tusi and slaves, the middle city was the residence of officials and their families, and the lower city was the residence of lower level officials. Mangfanggang and mangfangmao were the stockade where forestry officials and hunters lived. Menglian Xuanfu department was located at the top of the upper City, and the Buddhist temples in the upper and middle cities also stood majestically near Xuanfu department. Covering an area of more than 10000 square meters, Xuanfu department is the Yamen of chieftains in Yunnan in Qing Dynasty, and it is also the best preserved one of the 18 chieftain Yamen in Yunnan. In contrast to the magnificence of the Tusi yamen, it is a quiet and leisurely Buddhist temple. The walls of the main hall are painted with gorgeous murals, recording the historical legends of the Dai nationality.
