Chahannaoer grassland resort is located in the border area of Western Hebei and Inner Mongolia. It used to be Wutai Mongolian camp and has a history of more than 700 years. As the only Mongolian village in Hebei Province, it still has a complete Mongolian language, writing, clothing and customs. Chahannor grassland is named after a deep lake in the grassland. This is chahannor, which means White Lake in Mongolian, with a total area of 35 square kilometers. The clear and broad lakes breed the endless chahannor grassland, with a total area of more than 100 square kilometers. According to legend, Genghis Khan went on a tour and passed by here. He once hunted in this unknown beautiful grassland and could not bear to leave. Later, a Mongolian nomadic tribe moved here to settle down, so there were people here. In the 25th year of Qianlong reign (1760 AD), the Mongols set up the fifth post station from Zhangbei to wulancha Mianmeng. Later, the Mongols gathered together, so it was called Wutai Mongolian camp. For many years, chahannaoer lake has been nurturing chahannaoer grassland, which has been destroyed by the merciless wind and sand on the Mongolian Plateau. After the founding of new China, with the implementation of the national policy, the grassland here has never been reclaimed. As a result, more than 200 Genghis Khan's descendants have been living and reproducing here, enjoying themselves and enjoying themselves. Up to now, they still maintain the pure natural living state of Mongolian primitive animal husbandry, and preserve the complete Mongolian language, clothing, writing, diet and customs. When we approached her, we were immediately attracted by the blue sky, white clouds and green grass here. From afar, white clouds flutter under the pure blue sky, cattle and sheep dot on the green grassland, and smoke and cooking curl in the white yurt. This picturesque beautiful scenery can most arouse people's reverie and make people can't help singing Tengger's paradise.

Wutai Mongolian camp, namely haisitai, was built in 1706, the 45th year of Kangxi reign of Qing Dynasty. Tourism characteristics
Primitive grassland
When you step into the primitive grassland of Wutai Mongolian camp and plunge into the sea of green grass, you will be immediately intoxicated by an indescribable artistic conception.
That is how a fresh and simple ah, the blue sky and white clouds freely enjoy the empty, green grass cattle and sheep very leisurely comfortable stretch. At the extreme point of vision, there is an unclear horizon in the distance. Where the wind comes from, where it goes.
The fragrance of moist soil, rippling with the fragrance of grass, washing every cell of the whole body, ironing every inch of the body skin. The earth is so thick and vast, the blue sky is so quiet and high, everything is so real, so kind, so people are not on guard. Compared with the crowded streets, buildings and spaces cut by modern civilization, you can really experience the charm of nature and the essence of freedom. This is the original grassland of Wutai Mongolian camp, the only Mongolian village in Hebei Province.
Several valiant soldiers gallop on the boundless grassland on their valiant horses. The sound of the horse's hoof makes the roe deer and wild sheep in the distant grass alert and raise their ears. Several rabbits disappear in the green grass half a person's height. Suddenly, the commander waved his whip and exclaimed in surprise: "water!" In front of them is a huge lake full of blue waves and waterfowls. The lake water inlaid on the grassland is like a beautiful girl's eyes, clear and affectionate. The faces of several soldiers were full of joy. The officer made a mark on a map. They stayed for a long time and left. A few days later, several felt sheds were set up here. As a result, there was a horse on the grassland, and there was a rest by the lake, so a post station was formed.
Wutai Mongolian camp
According to the records of Shangyi County annals, in 1693, Altai military station was set up. There were 48 stations from Zhangjiakou to Kulun (now the Mongolian People's capital Ulan Bator). There were four stations (aomihuduga) and five stations (haisitai) in Shangyi. Later, with the arrival of the heyday of Kangxi and Qianlong, the place outside the Great Wall, which has been in constant wars since ancient times, has lost the flames of war. Some nomadic Mongolian herdsmen took a fancy to this geomantic treasure land, gradually settled down, and gradually formed a camp, which is the only Mongolian village in Hebei Province - Wutai Mongolian camp.
legend
The long history has left many beautiful legends. The queen mother has a precious mirror, which is in charge of by a maid. Because of her admiration for the beauty of the world, the maid once secretly came to this grassland. Just after she was intoxicated with the blue sky, green grass, the singing of birds and the fragrance of flowers, she accidentally lost her mirror and fell on the ground. In a twinkling of an eye, it turned into a glittering lake. It is now chahannor (Mongolian, chahannor: white; Naor: Lake). There is also a legend of nine fairies. In the northwest of the lake, there is a small mound. People living here say that on summer afternoons, sometimes nine fairies can be seen sitting there combing their hair. They said that the nine fairies were weaving for the queen mother. When they were tired of weaving, they would come down to chahannor, where they would play and bathe, and then they would go to the small mound to bask in the sun and comb their hair. Maybe it's because people living here love this land too much. Around the grassland and the lake, there are also legends about Buffalo, water sheep, golden horse and so on. Although legends are legends, the beauty and charm of this grassland is beyond doubt. The characteristics of pure Mongolian People's living together and traditional animal husbandry make the cultural life of Mongolian people here completely preserved.
The people are simple and honest
Today, the herdsmen are still wearing traditional Mongolian robes and talking to each other in pure Mongolian. And now it is worthy of the title of "nation on horseback". Seven or eight year old children in the village gallop like the wind on the bare back grass horse (untrained horse). The only thing that has changed is that they are no longer living in yurts and have built red brick houses. However, there is an obvious difference between the herdsmen's houses in Wutai Mongolian camp and the Han people's houses, that is, there is no courtyard wall in the herdsmen's houses in Wutai Mongolian camp. On the one hand, it is because the herdsmen raise a large number of livestock, and it is convenient to get in and out when grazing livestock; on the other hand, it is also related to the simple folk customs here. It is not uncommon that "no one can find anything on the road, no one can avoid the house at night". Don't worry about things left here. You can always find them by the same way.
eating habits
Herdsmen still maintain the traditional Mongolian diet. Three meals a day can not be without milk tea. Milk tea is called "panacea" by herdsmen. In summer, drink milk tea to relieve heat and cool down; in winter, drink milk tea to prevent cold; in the evening, drink milk tea to hypnotize. Herdsmen say that "one day without tea, food is not fragrant, can't sleep at night; three days without tea, guilty, dizzy, lazy.".
There are two main types of food for herdsmen: white food and meat food.
Baishi, Mongolian for "chaganyid", means white food, on behalf of the meaning of purity and loftiness. Free food is divided into food and drink. Food: milk tofu, cheese
