The main entrance of the Buddhist temple is a very exquisite double eaves archway. The wood carvings and opencut carvings on it are compatible with the thickness of the lines, which is of great appreciation value. On the front of the door stands a wooden gold plaque with three simple characters of "Qing Buddhist temple". On the right side of the plaque is a gilded inscription of "qiannuo monk and township official's joint cultivation", and on the left side is a gilded inscription of "dragon flying, Qianlong, Wuxu, Jichun, Gudan". On the back of the plaque, there are three big characters "Fugui gate", which means that tourists coming in and out of the plaque and those who worship and pray for Buddha are blessed. There is a pair of wooden couplets on both sides of the temple gate, but only the first couplet is left, which says "the temple gate is opposite to the pool, and the morality is like jingshanpu."

Architecture
The whole Buddhist temple is composed of Mountain Gate, main hall, cloth book Pavilion, monk's house, worshiper's dormitory, etc.
The gate is 18 meters high and 7 meters wide in the form of mainland Chinese Buddhism. There are three doors in the front, the middle one is the gate, and the doors on both sides are on each side. The whole structure is a archway, the upper part is made of wood, the lower part is made of stone, and the bottom part is xumizuo, which supports the archway. The top is triple eaves, covered with grey tiles, and the eaves angle is upward. Pailou Tianzhong wrote three big characters of "qingfo Temple" in Chinese. The font was neat and rigorous, and it was inscribed "Spring Valley Dan of Qianlong 1898". Under the double eaves, there are reliefs such as dragon and cloud pattern. In the past, there were Zhaobi and a pair of stone lions outside the gate of a mountain. They were destroyed during the "Cultural Revolution". Not far away, there is a bodhi tree about 30 meters high and several circles thick, green and dripping. "Fugui gate" is also written in Chinese on the archway inside the gate. From the structure, relief and writing of the gate, we can see that it is greatly influenced by the Han culture.
The main hall is about 215 meters high, 22.5 meters long, with five rooms wide and five rooms deep. The hall is mainly supported by several pairs of parallel columns. The roof of the hall is covered with grey tiles, the feather angle is upturned, and there is a bucket arch under the eaves. The inner fence windows are one meter high, the rafters are short, and the eaves slope is gentle, about 30 degrees. It is quite different from the eaves slope in Xishuangbanna area, but different from that in Xishuangbanna area The double eaves folk buildings in Baoshan, Yongping and Xiaguan are very similar. Under the four walls of the hall is the stone foundation, which is carved with images of various animals and plants, such as the picture of hunters driving dogs out, the picture of bowing and shooting birds, the picture of feeding rabbits and eating vegetables, etc.
At the west end of the hall are statues of Sakyamuni. On both sides are statues of two disciples. Pazhaoshawaga is on the right, and maa58guo is on the left (it is said to be the Buddha in the water). In addition, there is a Maitreya Buddha statue in the right rear of Sakyamuni Buddha, which is not found in Xishuangbanna, Dehong, Menglian and other places. The walls of the hall are painted with gold and pink patterns, and many painted banners are hung on the left and right sides of the hall. The banners are painted with various stories, such as "zhaoshutun", "wengpahan", "zangsanya", "thousand petals of Lotus" and so on. These are the common characteristics of the furnishings of Buddhist temples in Xishuangbanna, Dehong and other places.
In particular, there are two symmetrical carved dragon eaves columns erected outside the main gate of the main hall. Two giant dragons pass through the center of the columns, their heads protrude from the top of the columns and gaze at each other. Each of their forepaws holds a beautifully carved circular ball.
In front of the hall, there is a ring hall on the right side, beside which there is a dormitory for the old people living in the temple. The back is the monk's house and kitchen.
legend
It's said that qiannuo Buddhist temple was built by Dali craftsmen invited by the Tusi. After the temple was built, the Tusi asked the master, "can you build a better Buddhist temple than qiannuo Buddhist temple?" the master answered with confidence: "I can build a better Buddhist temple than qiannuo Buddhist temple." Therefore, the chieftain ordered to cut off the fingers of the master builder, so that he could not build a better Buddhist temple than qiannuo
