Picea deserticola is a rare and precious tree species, now there are only more than 100000 mu in the world, all growing in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Only more than 30000 mu of land are concentrated, and all of them are concentrated in Keshiketeng Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The largest spruce trees are 500-600 years old, and the smallest trees are 100 years old.

It is said that one day, a long time ago, when the sun was about to set, suddenly, the sky was full of rays, clouds and birds. After the sun sets, the stars in the sky shine brightly and are very charming. This kind of strange sight excited the local people and cheered. The next day, when people woke up, they were stunned when they opened the door. There were tall and straight pine trees (sand spruce) growing on the hillside in the distance. After the surprise, there is excitement, because this forest will change the living environment and living conditions of local people.
