Zhuoma Gorge
The Holy Land Balong ecotourism scenic spot in seni District of Naqu City, northern Tibet Plateau, formerly known as Zhuoma Canyon Scenic Spot, is located in Gulu Town, seni District, 230 km away from Lhasa, and 11 km away from 109 National Highway. The scenic spot is located at the foot of sangdankang sangxue mountain, with an average altitude of about 4700 meters. The trees are green, the flowers are fragrant, the lakes and mountains are beautiful and full of vitality.

Introduction
In the scenic area, the canyon is north-south, with a total distance of about 15 kilometers. The climate on both sides of the canyon is very different, with snow capped mountains on one side and lush shrubs on the other. The snow mountain ice that never melts all the year round has melted into a clear valley stream. On the top of the snow peak, there are eagles flying. On the east side of the mountain, there are groups of wild sheep, as well as Himalayan marmots, rabbits, plateau mice and other grassland animals. Blue sky, clear water and snow mountain combine to form a unique plateau scenery. There are also special landforms eroded by modern glaciers, with grotesque rocks, caves all over, uncanny workmanship, magic charm and many moving legends left behind.
Scenery
The canyon in the scenic area is about 15 kilometers long, with snow mountains on one side and white hada on the other side. The snow mountain ice that never melts all the year round has melted into a clear valley stream. "There are four seasons in a mountain and different days in ten li". The scenic spot in summer is the most charming and magnificent. The broad grassland in front of the canyon is like a huge green carpet, welcoming guests from afar. Driving forward in this green corridor, as if into a paradise, spotless fresh air makes people feel relaxed and happy. At the top of the snow peak, there are hundreds of eagles flying. On the east side of the hillside, there are groups of wild sheep, which forage and play. Himalayan marmots, rabbits and plateau mice are very active. Sheep are like white clouds wandering in the vast grassland. Into the depths of the canyon, blue sky, clear water, snow mountain painting set a unique snow scenery. Here you can also enjoy the special landform of modern glacier erosion, with grotesque rocks, caves, uncanny workmanship, magic charm and many moving legends. The monks and nuns of the Gaju sect come here to build temples and practice. They are crazy about becoming immortals through their secret work. Many Buddhists come here to worship. The holy mountain and water are famous for this. The ancient temples with a history of more than 800 years add a beautiful cultural scenery here.
It is a pure land with natural scenery and ethnic customs, and a place for scientific research and tourism exploration. Zhuoma Gorge Scenic Spot in summer is a rare summer resort in the world. With the completion of the Qinghai Tibet railway, Naqu County will jointly develop this cultural and natural scenic spot with relevant departments. Folk festival activities
In Tibetan areas, the most exciting part of the year is the traditional festivals of many ethnic groups. Almost every month there are one or two festivals. These festivals, or the traditional convention, or because of religious feeling, or some customs over time evolved into people's festivals. It has formed a cultural system of Tibetan festivals with rich contents such as sacrifice, farming, commemoration, social activities and so on.
The Tibetan New Year is the most solemn festival in Tibet. Tibetan New Year is a day to send the old away and welcome the new. On New Year's Eve, people hold a ghost expelling ceremony, and the whole family eats the new year's noodle "Gutu", which is a symbol of perfection. In the early morning of the new year, people offer highland barley wine to each other, offer "qiema" to each other, and wish each other good luck in the new year, "zaxidler"! The celebration of the Tibetan New Year lasts from the first day of the lunar new year to the tenth day of the lunar new year. The main activities, such as the pilgrimage to the Buddha and the preaching of Buddhism, are concentrated in the Jokhang Temple. The Tibetan New Year is also the off-season of Tibet tourism. At present, in winter, Tibet has launched the "winter tour to Tibet" preferential tourism activities. Saga Dawa Festival (April 15, Tibetan calendar) it is said that Buddha Sakyamuni was born, became Tao and passed away on April 15. Therefore, April 15, Tibetan calendar is a unique day in Tibet. Various activities will be held to commemorate this month. On the day of Sagadawa Festival, people in Lhasa almost pour out to turn around the outer walls of the Jokhang Temple and Potala Palace. On this day, the whole Lhasa is filled with smoke of burning spices, and the three main turning roads are full of believers who are fast or slow, walking or kowtowing. Sagadawa Festival is the most characteristic festival in Lhasa in spring.
Travel Tips
1、 In Tibetan areas, cattle and sheep with red, yellow and green cloth tags are occasionally seen wandering in the countryside. Don't drive them away or hurt them at will. It's a sacrifice for Tibetan people. Don't point your shotgun at the eagles. Tibetans don't want to hurt their birds.
2、 Do not enter the temple without permission. Do not smoke after entering the temple. It's no harm to watch the objects in the temple. Don't touch Buddha statues, scriptures or take photos without permission. Some places are not allowed to move counter clockwise, and some secret places are not allowed for women to enter.
3、 When entering the tents and living rooms of Tibetans, you should neither step on the threshold nor spit in front of others.
4、 Tibetan people's sticking out their tongue is to show respect rather than ridicule, while the combination of ten is a kind of etiquette.
5、 On the sky burial: the Tibetan government and tourism agencies do not encourage tourists to see the sky burial. Tibetans, especially the family members of the dead, do not want to see the sky burial. This is a national habit and human nature. If you have a chance to see me, please respect your words and deeds.
6、 Don't buy any fur of wild animals, horns of wild Tibetan antelopes, skulls of wild yaks and so on in Tibet. This is tantamount to supporting the increasingly rampant poaching of wildlife in Tibet. In fact, if you are found carrying these items when you leave Tibet, you are likely to face great trouble.
7、 Don't pay the local people to be photographed, or force them to shoot what they don't want to shoot. Give them some food or medicine to increase their trust in them. Don't try to help foreigners enter Tibet without legal procedures. It is stipulated by the state that foreigners' travel to Tibet must be approved by the tourism or foreign affairs departments, and travel documents must be obtained. At the same time, they must travel within the scope permitted by the documents, accompanied by tourist vehicles and guides.
