LeBaGou rock painting
LeBaGou: it means "Meili Gou" in Tibetan. The natural scenery here is magical and charming. Goukou is a historical and cultural monument, Princess Wencheng temple. There are more than ten rock paintings in the valley. The rock paintings in LeBaGou are mainly Buddha statues, Bodhisattvas, pilgrims and auspicious animals.
Basic introduction
LeBaGou rock painting is located on the Bank of Tongtian River in Yushu prefecture. Coming here along a mountain path along the Bank of Tongtian River will give you two different emotional experiences at the same time: the noise and magnificence of Tongtian River and the tranquility and sanctity of LeBaGou rock paintings. LeBaGou rock is chiseled along the Yangtze River, at the mouth of LeBaGou. The dense vegetation in the Leba ravine can hardly hide the mysterious atmosphere emanating from the rock paintings and countless Mani stone carvings all over the ravine. From the statue of Sakyamuni at the end of the Tang Dynasty in Goukou to the Mani stone made today, you can see the whole history of Tibetan religious stone carvings.

There are three sites of LeBaGou rock paintings, numbered 1, 2 and 3 respectively.
No. 1 rock painting is engraved with Buddha, Bodhisattva, pilgrim, auspicious beast, etc. The technique is Yin line Lunjiao strike. Buddha for standing, low bun, wearing a shoulder round collar coat, right side, clothes close to the body. All Bodhisattvas are sitting down. The production of the donor is two-thirds smaller than that of the Buddha. This rock painting has a strong style of Buddhist statues of the Han nationality in the late Tang Dynasty.
For example, No. 2 pilgrim's hair style is a bun with double sideburns and face hugging, which is popular among maid in Tang Dynasty. Clothes for Tang Kaiyuan, tianbaojian popular small lapel, Hufu. The discovery of this rock painting is very valuable for the study of the cultural exchange between Han and Tibetan history and the ancient road between Tang and Tibet.
No. 3 rock painting of LeBaGou is made in Tibet, and its age is obviously much later than that of No. 1. There are bodhisattvas in the East and West stone walls, and they sit down. Wearing a crown and a wreath. Above the Bodhisattva of Xibi, a flying sky was made with a Yin line, wearing shawls and Yingluo. The shawl is fluttering in the wind, which makes people think of the poem: "the wonderful hand gently blows back the long sleeves, singing a song of vastness and developing a clear business".

Most of the rock paintings found in Qinghai are based on individual animal images. Only the LeBaGou rock paintings in Yushu exude the mysterious atmosphere of religious culture. From the Sakyamuni statue in Goukou at the end of Tang Dynasty to the Mani stone made today, we can feel the whole history of Tibetan religious stone carvings. They are mainly individual images such as Buddha, Bodhisattva, pilgrim and auspicious beast.
Buddha statues, donor statues and pilgrims come in various shapes and are lifelike. Stone inscriptions of wuliangshou Sutra, Prajna Sutra, confession Sutra, Xingyuan Sutra and six character Zhenyan Sutra can be seen everywhere. These exquisite rock paintings have a strong Tang Dynasty Buddhist plastic art style.

1. Car rental: Jiegu town center square has many private buns and jeeps for rent, the price is more realistic. To LeBaGou, you can go from Princess temple to dalabagou. According to Tibetan customs, it's best to enter from Tongtian River clockwise. The rent of Beijing jeep is controlled within 200-250 yuan, which can be completed in one day. In addition, it costs 10 yuan to rent bread to Xinzhai manaishi town one way, and there is often a car to return, so there is no need to charter a car.
