Kunshan hanging wall highway

Among the seven hanging wall highways in South Taihang, Kunshan hanging wall highway in wangmangling scenic area is the youngest. In 1992, Shanxi province implemented the "village to village" project. In 2009, the local government invested in upgrading Kunshan hanging wall highway into a tourist highway, which not only solved the problem of travel difficulties for the people along the line, but also connected wangmangling, Kunshan scenic spot and wanxianshan scenic spot in Henan Province, which played a positive role in promoting the development of local tourism.

The construction condition of Kunshan hanging wall highway is very bad, and one sixth of the whole project needs to be constructed on the cliff. In order not to damage the local ecological environment as much as possible, the construction unit focused on the reconstruction and utilization of the original 2500 meter long hanging wall tunnel of Kunshan highway. Safety measures such as manual danger elimination, masonry of protective wall, reinforcement of side wall and shotcreting of tunnel top are taken. Hongtiguan hanging wall highway

Hongtiguan is located on the ancient commercial road of hongtiguan Township, Pingshun County, Shanxi Province. It is one of the "eight ancient passes" in Shanxi Province. Along the way, there are many waterfalls, springs and quiet villages.

Huixian County, Henan Province

Guoliang guabi highway

The most famous hanging wall highway is "Guo Liangdong". Guoliang village, shayao Township, Huixian County, Henan Province, is located at the top of the cliff. In the past, the passage for villagers to get in and out of the mountain was a stone nest cut along the stone crevice of the cliff, commonly known as "TIANTI". In the 1970s, villagers worked hard on the precipice in front of the village for five years to build a stone cave road with a height of 5 meters, a width of 4 meters and a length of 1300 meters.

Guoliangdong was started on March 9, 1972 and opened to traffic on May 1, 1977. Its width is 6 meters, height is 4 meters and length is 1300 meters. In the process of construction, a total of 60000 units were put into operation, 24000 cubic meters of slag were cleared, 12 tons of steel drill and 2000 hammers were consumed. In that year, Guoliang village invested 80000 yuan to dig holes, and in 2001, it invested 400000 yuan to expand and repair. The cliff belongs to sedimentary sandstone with a hardness of 8.2, which is the hardest kind of stone. The average working height of Guoliang hanging wall highway is 105 meters. The working face is blasted from the middle of the cliff, and 35 skylights on the outside are used to facilitate mucking and operation. Now it has become a ventilated and transparent viewing platform.

Guo Liangdong was discovered by the outside world in 1976. In 1976, Japan's Yutian film and television company made a feature film here, and Nagoya television station began to make the feature film "people who exploit Taihang Mountain", which was called "the Ninth Wonder of the world"; Guo Liangdong was listed as one of the "ten most dangerous roads in the world" (ranked second) and one of the "18 most peculiar roads in the world" (ranked third). Because of its early construction, it is also known as "the father of Taihang tunnel".

The beauty of Guoliang village is that tourists can see Guoliang cave from the opposite cliff in all directions, just like enjoying a picture scroll on the wall. The local tourism industry was developed earlier, and Guo Liangdong has become very famous. Guoliang village is known as the "Pearl of Taihang".
