Development history
Construction process
On December 30, 2011, the commencement ceremony of infrastructure project of Guangxi Longtan Grand Canyon National Forest Park was held in Tiane. The infrastructure project of the scenic spot, with a total investment of 28.5 million yuan, mainly includes the water lifting project of the forest park, the transformation of the road to the scenic spot, the construction of the ecological farmhouse in weijiadong, the construction of the orchid garden project and the construction of the tourist reception center of the scenic spot.
In February 2014, Longtan Grand Canyon National Forest Park was expanded with a total investment of 80 million yuan. Longtan Grand Canyon National Forest Park is composed of western area and eastern area, which are located in the West and southeast of Tiane county respectively. Longtan Grand Canyon National Forest Park has luxuriant vegetation, towering ancient trees and 96% forest coverage. The air contains a large number of negative oxygen ions which are beneficial to human health, and the content is 100-150 times more than that in the city. There are also plant essence fungicides volatilized by various plants. It is a National Forest Park and a national AAA tourist attraction.
Longtan Grand Canyon National Forest Park is a typical karst landform, with karst canyon landscape, forest landscape and water landscape as the main landscape features. The vegetation belongs to the mixed forest of evergreen deciduous broad-leaved in the middle subtropical karst landform, and the forest vegetation is well protected. The organic combination of abundant plant species and karst landforms constitutes the primitive forest and primary secondary forest with rich levels and thousands of postures.
The Hongshui River in the forest park is 20.3km long from Longtan Hydropower Station to the junction of Nandan county. The widest part of the river is 153m and the narrowest part is 32.4m. The average water depth is 23.6m and the maximum water depth is 46.5m. The river is clear, clear and calm as a mirror. The peaks on both sides are towering, magnificent, tall and lush. In a broad view, there are numerous peaks, forming a landscape gallery stretching more than ten kilometers.

Longtan Grand Canyon
Longtan Grand Canyon is 15 kilometers long and 800-1000 meters deep. The canyon is deep and dangerous, and the mountains on both sides are towering. A thousand years old beech
The millennium old beech is a beech tree growing in shenshuao of Longtan forest park. It grows completely on stone. The small tree next to it is more than 200 years old, and the big tree in the middle is nearly 1000 years old. Local people revere it as a sacred tree.
Longtan Grand Canyon rare Botanical Garden
The total area of Longtan Grand Canyon rare botanical garden is 30 hectares. By June 2013, the actual use area is 16.6 hectares. There are two conservation sites, of which Banli arbor transplantation base covers an area of 3.3 hectares and jianshilan garden covers an area of 13.3 hectares. There are more than 2300 species of national first, second and third grade rare plants, such as Camellia chrysantha, Taxus chinensis, Elaeagnus mollis, Toona ciliata, Camptotheca acuminata and rendou, and 3 ancient banyan trees. Longtan Shatian pomelo

Tiane Hawthorn
