Wulan mountain
Wulan mountain, formerly known as Beishan, is located at the north end of Qingnian Street in Kalaqin left-wing Mongolian Autonomous County, Liaoning Province. It is an isolated mountain integrated with the county and the city. When the county government decided to build Beishan Park in 2002, the name of the mountain was changed to Wulan mountain. After nearly four years of construction, there is a garden in the mountains and a mountain in the garden. The natural landscape and cultural landscape are integrated into one. It has become a good place for people to enjoy leisure, fitness and sightseeing.
history
In the past, there was a saying that "Jiulong plays with pearls" in Dachengzi. In other words, there are nine hills around the city overlooking the city, which is called "Jiulong". In the city, there is a solitary mountain, namely Beishan, which is called "Pearl".
Geology and geomorphology
There are three main paths to Wulan Mountain Park, one is from the north end of Youth Street under the memorial tower to the top of the mountain, and the other two are asphalt roads around Wulan mountain. From the north end of Youth Street to Wulan mountain, you have to climb 60 stone steps, walk through the martyrs' memorial tower and directly reach the top of the mountain. I often go to Wulan mountain for morning exercises. All the rocks, trees, flowers and grass on the mountain remain in my memory, but the most impressive ones are the martyrs memorial tower, four mountain pavilions, radio and television transmission tower and the park at the foot of the mountain.
Standing on the hillside in the south of Wulan mountain, the monument was built on August 1, 1960 and rebuilt on August 1, 2003. In addition to the figures on the top of the tower, the body, base, ground and flower wall of the tower are all made of polished granite slabs, replacing the original water brush stone. The surrounding green pines and cypresses are tall and straight, which shows that the martyrs are always as vigorous as pines and cypresses. Behind the memorial tower, there is a 50 meter long double-sided Yonglu road. In the middle of the road are the scenic trees of tasong and Beijing Huaihe, which are cylindrical, mushroom shaped and umbrella shaped. This is the first turnout leading to the East-West ridge of Wulan mountain. There are stone tables and benches on both sides for a rest. Continue to go north to the top of the mountain and connect with the ring road beside Wulan mountain. This is the main road to wulanshan park on foot. It was laid again in 2002, with stones inlaid in the middle, cement plastering on both sides, about 5 meters wide, and street lamps installed on one side of the road.
tourist resources
When Beishan was not set up as a park, it also attracted many people to visit the mountain, including morning exercises, chatting and leisure activities. Beishan is in the shape of scissors. A gully in the middle divides the mountain into East and West. Although it is not towering, it is independent of the city and is given by the earth. In 1998, it was called "Beishan Park" to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Autonomous County. By 2002, when the county government was planning the urban construction, it was wise to recognize the "Pearl". It was redesigned and renamed Wulan mountain, aiming to build the mountain into an urban park integrating nature and culture. Four years later, today's Wulan mountain presents itself in front of people with its brand-new posture. Standing on the top of Wulan mountain, you can have a panoramic view of the row upon row of high-rise buildings, crisscross streets and roads, the bustling pedestrians and the endless flow of vehicles in the county town, which depicts the ever-changing urban development blueprint for people.
The four hexagonal pavilions on Wulan mountain are also particularly eye-catching. A small stone bridge, 5 meters long and 2 meters wide, is 20 meters east of the fork road. It is an exquisite stone arch bridge, showing the unique ingenuity of the builder. After the small stone bridge is a long cement steps, trekking 8 platforms 68 steps to the pavilion on the south slope of dongliangding. This pavilion was built in the late 1980s, named "ZUIWENG Pavilion", which is the earliest iron pavilion built in Wulan mountain. The wind chimes are hung at the six corners of the pavilion. The mountain wind blows and tinkles. Morning exercisers not only enjoy the joy of climbing the mountain beam, but also can hear the sound of the morning bell. At this time, they feel happy and relaxed. From the pavilion to the north, it is also a 4-meter-wide cement brick paved Yong Road, which is connected with the Ring Road on the side of the mountain and the trunk road in the north of the memorial tower, from which you can go to the radio and television transmitting station.
From the fork road 50 meters behind the memorial tower to the west, there is a small bridge between ditches 23 meters long and 3.5 meters wide. On both sides of the bridge, there are red, green, yellow and blue iron guardrails. In the big ditch 6 meters deep under the bridge, there are tall locust trees and elms, which shade and block out the sun. After crossing the small bridge, there are very steep stone steps. You can walk through four platforms and 95 steps to a platform. Under the platform is the tap water pumping station. In the early morning, many people go up and down this step repeatedly to exercise. Those who don't climb the mountain often are out of breath when they reach the top of the step, so they can only rest here. Then go north to climb 7 mesas, 58 gentle steps, to the double-layer Pavilion on the top of the beam in the west of Wulan. The pavilion is nameless, with 12 red iron pillars supporting the two-story roof, about 10 meters high. It is the largest and tallest Pavilion on Wulan mountain. The pavilion's inner roof is sky blue, and the outer roof is golden yellow. On the beam between the six ridges, there are six iron words "bird's voice and fragrance of flowers". Continue north 100 meters is the radio and television tower.
Six meters to the west of the pavilion is the 5-meter-wide concrete square brick road to the West beam of Wulan mountain. There is a downward trend. A pavilion is built 200 meters away from the pavilion, and another Pavilion is built 50 meters below the pavilion on the top of the mountain. Between the pavilions are 1.5-meter-wide stepped roads, with 14 countertops and 40 levels, paved with irregular stones. The pavilion on the top of the mountain is the most distinctive, with red pillars and yellow roofs, about 6 meters high. Different from the other three pavilions, the structure of the pavilion is changed from welded iron to wooden structure. The pavilion roof is shaped like a Mongolian yurt roof, inlaid with glazed tiles and painted with carved beams. It is a real antique building. From then on, the pavilion continued to go down the mountain, and it reached the bottom of the mountain by walking through 13 terraced roads. There is only one wall between this place and the park at the foot of the mountain. This wall is in the shape of "Great Wall". You can return to the platform of the martyrs memorial tower along the wall to the north.
The most dazzling part of Wulan mountain is the radio and television transmission tower standing on the top of the mountain. It is not only the focus of the mountain, but also a major landmark in our county. The tower started construction in August 1994 and was completed in October 1995. It is 158.8 meters high and pierces the sky. At that time, it was known as "the first tower in western Liaoning". The TV transmitting station covers an area of 3000 square meters, and the building area of the computer room is 700 square meters. At present, there are four radio stations and more than 30 TV stations, covering 80% of the households in the county, which has become a milestone in the history of the development of radio and television in our county. In September 2005, neon lights were set up on the launch tower, and its tall and majestic posture can be seen at night. The neon characters of "building a safe Kazuo" on the tower are particularly dazzling, adding a beautiful scenery to the night of Wulan mountain.
At the foot of Wulan mountain is the location of the garden, and inside the courtyard is the park. In the summer of 2005, the wall was removed and opened to the public. The park has been redesigned and rebuilt, with green space, flower beds, fitness equipment, especially the red "Chinese knot" shaped decorative lights, which look like hanging in the air. On the east side of the park, there is a 2-meter-high artificial stone with three characters of "Wulan mountain" written by Qu Lianchun, former Secretary of the county Party committee. Wulan mountain is not what it used to be. It has become a unique city park dominated by nature.
