origin

In the early 1980s, experts from the Institute of geography of the Chinese Academy of Sciences came here for investigation. When they looked down from the plane, they felt that it was covered with green trees and shade. Just like a piece of jade inlaid on the golden beach, "Jade Island" gets its name. Qilihai is the largest lagoon in China. It is said that Qilihai was a closed lake long ago, not connected with the Bohai Sea. The lake is full of water chestnut and reed, and there are many residents living and reproducing around it. There is a dragon in the lake. He covets this geomantic treasure land for a long time and always wants to occupy it. One night, it suddenly made waves, the water of Qilihai rose rapidly, and the nearby houses soon collapsed. The people fled everywhere. At this time, a young man named a Xin bravely stood up. With his strong martial arts, he defeated the dragon. At last, he became a one Horned Dragon and used his horn to dig a channel between the Bohai Sea and the Qilihai sea. The flood receded, and the people were saved, but the brave young man died on the beach. In memory of the young man named a Xin, the local residents named the Haikou he dug as "xinkaikou".
