University pool is located in Xitou forest recreation area, Nantou County, Taiwan Province. Because it belongs to the Tanqing pool in the experimental forest farm of Taiwan University, it belongs to the artificially excavated landscape pool. The pool covers an area of about half a hectare and has a water depth of about 10 meters. It was used to soak wood to remove impurities and pests and prevent wood from cracking. Now it is a simple landscape pool.

The University pool is one of the representative landscapes of Xitou. The water is as green as a mirror.
