Jiujiu peak, also known as Jiujiu peak, is an area with special geographical landscape of Huoyan mountain in the central part of Taiwan Island. The peaks are independent and rarely connected by ridges and veins. The highest peak of Jiujiu peak is 779.4 meters above sea level (777.5 meters before the 921 earthquake). It is also known as "Taiwan's three major Huoyan mountains" together with Sanyi Huoyan mountain and Liugui eighteen Luohan mountain. Jiujiufeng contains ochre. Ochre itself contains iron, aluminum and other oxides. In the morning and evening, when you look at jiujiufeng from a distance, it looks like a red mountain burning. Therefore, Huoyanshan is also written as Huoyanshan.
After the 921 earthquake, the vegetation of Jiujiu peak collapsed, making the top of the mountain lose vegetation and bare soil. At present, No. 6 national highway is under construction. In the future, the route will cross the south side of Jiujiu peak eastward along Wuxi River, and a service area is planned for tourists to enjoy Jiujiu peak. Jiujiufeng is a significant index for Caotun, so Mr. Jian Jinjian compares jiujiufeng with "the peak is like a penholder, which can gather aura and cultivate talents." Yanfeng Yuxiu is named Yanfeng elementary school, which symbolizes the first scenic spot in Caotun.
