History and culture
Changdu temple, also known as Changdu luoerbu Temple (meaning: "seaside baby Temple"), is an ancient Yongzhong Benbo temple with a history of more than 1000 years. Yongzhong Benjiao (hereinafter referred to as Benjiao) originated in the holy mountain area of Gangdise in guxiangxiong (now Ali Prefecture of Tibet). It is based on the theory of "Xian", "Mi" and "Da Yuanman". It is based on the conversion to the three treasures to save the world and guide people to the good. It is also the oldest Buddhist dharma in Tibet. It has a history of 1800 years. The glorious and prosperous ancient Xiangxiong civilization developed with the spread of "Yongzhong based religion" as the main line. As the ancient Xiangxiong culture has a long and splendid history, it has been included in the scope of world cultural heritage protection. "Yongzhong based religion" is the Dharma preached by xingrao Miwo Buddha. It is the Mahayana Dharma based on human beings, which takes all sentient beings as the object of universal salvation, and makes the world break through the mystery and enlightenment, break barriers and remove doubts, solve the suffering of this life and the next life, and finally get a complete liberation.
Before the introduction of Indian Buddhism and the so-called official history of Tibet, there was a splendid civilization on the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, which was the "ancient Xiangxiong civilization". Long before Indian Buddhism was introduced into Tibet, it was widely spread in the snow plateau, and it is the most important spiritual belief of the Tibetan people. Before the seventh century, all the astronomers, educators, translators, physicians, diviners, fortune tellers, feng shui masters, and literate scholars in the Xiangxiong area of Tibet could be called "Benbo". At that time, all the cultural and religious beliefs on the Qinghai Tibet Plateau could be called "Benjiao". In fact, this religion is not only a simple religious belief, but also the cultural system, philosophy, civilization and etiquette, folk customs, national spirit and social education of Tibetan compatriots. In fact, ganzhur of yongzhongben religion is the origin and source of all Tibetan history, religion and culture. It is an extremely precious material for the study of Tibetan ancient civilization, which is also an important field that can not be bypassed by any Tibetan cultural researchers. In July 2013, the project of translating the Tibetan Scriptures into Chinese has been included in the key scientific research project of the Chinese Academy of social sciences.
"Yong Zhong Ben Jiao" created a lot of the beginning of Tibetan culture, such as folk customs, etiquette, astronomy and calendar, Tibetan medicine, Tibetan language, religious belief, political and religious system, as well as the art of singing, dancing and painting, and so on. It can be called the source of Tibetan culture and Tibetan Buddhism!
The temple has a great influence and a long history. It is only second to the royal temple yongzhonglading Guangfa temple.
The temple is located at an altitude of more than 2000 meters. It is a semi mountainous area with mild climate and overlapping mountains. Whenever spring comes, the mountains are green, the water is flowing, and the scenery of lakes and mountains is beautiful. It has always been a good place for religious people to retreat. In history, Changdu temple was an official Temple in ancient chuoshijia area and a head organ specially for the management of religious affairs within the jurisdiction. Its highest leader was "Lang song". In the regime of chieftain, its rank was second only to that of chieftain. It was inherited and managed by the relative brothers of chieftain. Because the Shi Si and Lang song believed in Benbo religion and strongly supported it, Benbo religion became the dominant sect in this area, and Changdu was the first and core of the temples. Langsong lived in Changdu temple and was in charge of politics. He appointed the Kanbu of each temple. Wenbu of each temple took turns to be the housekeeper of jichangdu Temple official village and sent Zaba jichangdu temple to serve. In particular, the annual praying Dharma Assembly was attended by members of each temple. There were thousands of monks, which was very grand and grand. The management of Changdu temple is divided into two systems: educational administration and Temple Administration. According to the system, important posts are set up to assist langsong in the management of religious affairs in the territory under the jurisdiction of the chieftain. Not only that, the eminent monk Dade of Changdu temple also helped the Chieftain to participate in foreign affairs activities. He went to Beijing to pay tribute with or on behalf of the chieftain. He was once highly valued by the imperial court. A pure silver statue of Zunsheng Buddha awarded by the imperial court is still preserved in the temple.
According to some historical records and folklore, the original religion of Changdu Temple flourished in the 36th generation of Lang songlazhang, the twin of Mu family's eminent monk lineage of Mu family of Mu Chi Da Mo Zong (place name), and the third Lama of Chuo Si Jia's head when they were alive. The nine times multiplication, the four gates five storehouses, and the five Ming schools of big and small had flourished, and the doctrines and rules were also very sound. They were virtuous and well-educated in following the precepts of Shami, bhikkhu, and knowing the secret mantra In the five halls, there are a thousand clay statues of Dun Ba Xin Rao, the ancestor of the religion, the supreme bronze statue, JINGMENG King Kong, and the pearl decorated Lama pagoda. In particular, the printing room named "tongzhuqinbo" was well-known in the area under the jurisdiction of the whole Shisi. It was the only organization that could undertake printing in the area at that time. It had more than ten thousand printing plates for various Buddha statues and deities to protect the Dharma, as well as a complete set of printing plates for ganzhur, the Tibetan Scripture of Xiangxiong, which fully demonstrated the scale and ability of Changdu temple at that time.
In the cultural revolution, Changdu temple was not spared the unprecedented disaster, and was destroyed in different degrees. After the Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee, with the implementation of the party's ethnic and religious policies, the temple was opened in 1984 with the approval of the government and restored. In today's Changdu temple, the main hall stands majestically, resplendent and resplendent; the winding corridor is like a flat dragon; in the hall, there are carved beams and painted buildings, which are full of colorful paintings. Just like the legendary Ruyi baby, it is easy to promote Buddhism . As a result, master Luodan Ningbo, one of the four famous yongzhongben lamas in the area, added the word "Baobao" after the original word "Changdu" according to the will of langsong Nanka Wangdan, making the name of the temple "seaside Baobao Temple", which is called "Changdu luoerbu Temple" in Tibetan and "Changdu Temple" in short.
