Zhaojia town is located in the northeast of Zhuji City, at the West foot of Kuaiji mountains, bordering Shaoxing County and Shengzhou City in the East, 25 kilometers away from Shaoxing City and the center of Zhuji City, 22 kilometers away from Hangyong Expressway and Hangjin Quzhou Expressway respectively. Zhusheng highway passes through the town and connects with Shaoda highway. With an area of 96.44 square kilometers, the town governs 13 administrative villages, 45 natural villages, 1 residents' committee and 30754 people (2017). Zhaojia town has won the titles of "hometown of Torreya grandis in China", "the first batch of well-off towns in Shaoxing City", "strong education town in Zhejiang Province". Zhaojia is a traditional agricultural town. It is the main producing area of the famous "Fengqiao Torreya grandis". The output and quality of Torreya grandis rank first in China. Torreya grandis industry has become the pillar industry of the town's agricultural economy. In 2009, Torreya grandis related income accounted for more than 45.5% of the town's total agricultural income, and 10619 farmers engaged in Torreya grandis, accounting for more than 70% of the total number of farmers. By the end of 2009, the whole town had 35000 mu of Torreya grandis forest base, of which 147000 Torreya grandis trees are abundant, and the annual output of dried fruit is more than 500 tons. The products are exported to Shanghai, Nanjing, Guangdong and other big cities, and also have a certain reputation in Southeast Asia. In recent years, the textile industry has risen rapidly and become the leading industry in Zhaojia town. By the end of 2001, there were 3890 looms in Zhaojia town. Among them, Daheng Clothing Co., Ltd. has owned the right of import and export in 1999, and set up branches in Botswana, Garner and other countries in Africa. It is a "seedling enterprise" in Zhuji. Its export situation is good. Zhuji champion Food Co., Ltd. is an agricultural enterprise which mainly produces, processes and sells Torreya grandis.
