Zhejiang Tonglu Yaolin National Forest Park is located in Yaolin Town, Tonglu County, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Geology and geomorphology

The geological structure of Yaolin National Forest Park in Tonglu, Zhejiang province belongs to the southeast wing of Bipu syncline of Huabu Xindeng fold belt in the central part of Qiantang platform fold belt of Yangtze paraplatform. The geological relics are mainly carbonate karst landform and early Paleozoic stratigraphic section, both of which occur together. The main lava outcrops are limestone and Permian limestone. The landforms are mainly eroded hills with gentle slope and steep slope alternating.

Yaolin National Forest Park in Tonglu, Zhejiang Province is located in the middle subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest zone. The plants include Pinus massoniana, Cunninghamia lanceolata, Carya cathayensis, Camellia oleifera, Castanea mollissima, Pinus taiwanensis, short handle wood bag, Huaxiang, Taxus chinensis var. mairei, Ginkgo biloba, Pistacia chinensis, lavender and so on. Among them, 13 tree species, such as Eucommia ulmoides Oliv, Lysimachia and Machilus chekiangensis, have been listed as national protected precious tree species.

Main attractions

Tiandong mountain: there are nearly 20 karst cave scenic spots, such as Chengmen cave, Yangtian cave and Foyin cave. The total length of the cave system is more than 5 kilometers, and the area is 25 square kilometers. Among them, the Tongtian cave and the bucket shaped mountain outside the cave form the Buchner funnel, with a diameter of nearly 100 meters and a depth of 40-100 meters.

Chuiyun Tongtian River: an underground karst cave, 4.5km in length, 380m in river drop, with a total area of more than 80000 square meters. The scenic spot is divided into two parts: the 1000 meter underground river boating and the Underground Grand Canyon exploration range rover.

Development and construction

Infrastructure

The first phase of Zhejiang Tonglu Yaolin National Forest Park started construction in 2004, featuring mountains, water and caves, and began trial operation on October 1, 2007; the second phase, with the theme of leisure vacation, scientific exploration and business exhibition, was officially launched in 2008.

In 2002, chuiyun Tongtianhe scenic spot in Yaolin National Forest Park of Tonglu, Zhejiang Province, was rated as national AAAA scenic spot.

In 2008, Zhejiang Tonglu Yaolin National Forest Park was approved by the State Forestry Bureau as a national forest park.

For self-help tourists from Shanghai, train to Hangzhou or bus to Tonglu, Tonglu County to Yaolin by minibus; or g60-g2501-g25-g320 National Road - s302-s208 to Yaolin National Forest Park (Tiandong mountain); from Hangzhou:

Take the bus from Hangzhou south bus station to Fenshui (every hour) to the forest farm, which can be reached in 2 hours, and then walk for more than 10 minutes.
