Introduction to grassland

Zhengyang grassland is located at the top of Bashan mountain, which borders Zhenping, Pingli and Chengkou of Chongqing. It is about 5 km wide from north to South and 50 km long. The northern foothills of Zhengyang grassland are gentle, while the southern foothills are steep. The boundary between Shaanxi and Chongqing is bounded by the southern edge of the grassland, and there are several cement boundary markers. Its formation has experienced the ups and downs of the sea and land, the uplift and collapse of the mountains, witnessed the reproduction and extinction of ancient creatures, and bred and protected countless new species of animals and plants for us, so that today there are still a variety of endangered animals and plants that shocked the world.

The dark blue, goose yellow and red flowers are in full bloom, enjoying the moisture of the grassland accompanied by the green grass. Walking in the Zhengyang grassland, she delivers beautiful information to us all the time and enriches our geographical knowledge. People usually know that Daba Mountain is the watershed between Han River, the largest tributary of the Yangtze River, and Jialing River, the second tributary of the Yangtze River. However, few people know that its eastern section is the watershed between Ren River and Lan River, the first tributary of the Han River. Zhengyang grassland is the source of these two rivers. When they flow into the Han River, they are less than 50 kilometers apart! We stopped in front of a large wetland on the south side of the grassland, and looked at the direction of the guide hand. In the middle of the wetland, there were winding streams, disappearing into the forest in the distance. He said the water went into the Ren river. Renhe river flows into Hanjiang River in Ziyang County. It was originally thought that its origin is located on the north slope of Bashan mountain. It is clear that Renhe river originates from the south side of Zhengyang grassland in Bashan mountain. Those streams converge to form a river. Along the way, Renhe river flows southward, turns East, crosses Chengkou County of Chongqing, flows through Wanyuan city of Sichuan, and then goes northward again. Finally, it flows through Dabashan gorge and joins Hanjiang River.
