Fotang Temple
Fotang temple was built in Song Dynasty, and was repaired in yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. Sitting in the north and facing the south, along the central axis, there are Guodian, Buddha Hall, Shenpeng, Luohan hall, Guandi temple and so on. Among them, the Buddha Hall was built in the Yuan Dynasty, and the Guo hall was built in the Ming Dynasty.

The Buddha Hall is the main hall. The whole building is placed on the platform, with a platform in front of it. It has a wide surface and three deep rooms. It has a square plane and a single eaves hanging on the top of the mountain. There are three Buddhas in the hall.
Gansu Fotang Temple
Located in shigangan village, Longfeng Township, Wudu County, Gansu Province, it is a Buddhist temple built in the Eastern Han Dynasty. In 1991, it was listed as a key development unit by the local cultural relics, tourism and religious departments. It was renovated in 2005 and reopened to the outside world in early 2006. This ancient mountain temple, called Fotang temple, has become a good place for people to visit.
Fotang temple is located on the main road between ancient Qinzhou and Xishu. Since ancient times, there have been frequent exchanges between merchants and soldiers. Its cultural and commercial activities have a profound impact on the local villages and towns. Fotang temple is one of the earliest temples recorded in Longnan Buddhist activities. There is a popular saying: "first build Fotang temple, then build Hanwang temple; the rest is rafter head, built Panling temple; the rest is bowl noodles, built guanyindian.". 」
The murals, buildings and statues preserved in Fotang temple have attracted great attention of art circles.
There are more than 50 places for Buddhist activities, such as Fotang temple, Panling temple, guanyindian (Guohe), Guangyan courtyard of Sanhe Bolin temple, Jiaogong goulinping Chaoyang cave Buddha cave, pingya Lama Temple. These cultural landscapes formed from Han Dynasty to Song Dynasty have accumulated rich tourism resources for Wudu County of Gansu Province.

Fotang temple in Jiaxian County

Fotang temple in Jiaxian county is located in the mountains at the junction of yapan village and Nihegou village in Zhu's hometown, 40 kilometers north of Jiaxian city. It is the largest temple and tourist attraction in Jiaxian county. Fotang temple was built in the Song Dynasty. The most spectacular of Fotang temple is the ancient grottoes. There are four large-scale Grottoes chiseled on the nearly 20 meter high cliff. The first cave is the main cave in the north. There are seven exquisitely carved stone statues, one stone tablet, and the main god is Sakyamuni. There is a cliff record above the passageway, which describes the land contract for building the temple. The second cave is dedicated to Tibetans. This cave is the largest, with a depth of 7 meters, a width of 6 meters and a height of 4 meters. The third cave is dedicated to Guanyin, and the fourth cave is dedicated to Sanxiao Niang. Together with the rest of the caves, the total area of the Grottoes is 107.6 square meters. Under the Grottoes is a broad and quiet temple with lush pines and cypresses and elegant simplicity. From the south to the north, there are many temples, such as Shanmen, Zhonggulou, Weituo, Chenghuang, Yaowang and Caishen.
Fotang temple has a long history, rich cultural connotation, cultural relics and historic sites with high historical value, is the real embodiment of the wisdom of the ancient Jiaxian working people. In 1992, Fotang temple was declared as a provincial key cultural relic protection unit by Shaanxi Provincial People's government.
