Hongge rock paintings
Hongge'er rock painting group is located in the northwest of Sunid Zuoqi, 190km away from manduratu Town, on the high mountain rocks. Hongge'er rock painting group belongs to hongge'er Sumu. The "hongge'er" Mongolian language is a light yellow hill. Therefore, hongge'er rock painting group is named after hongge'er Sumu, which mainly includes Huhe Chaolu rock painting point, biqigetu rock painting point, and bazitatu, taoentu, Tuolai rock painting point, thus forming hongge'er rock painting group.

Hongge'er rock painting group has a history of 4500 years, which is a precious historical material for studying the history of nomadic people in northern China.
According to the analysis of experts, more than 600 ancient rock paintings were painted by nomadic people in the north in ancient times. In the monotonous process of daily grazing and hunting, they recorded scenes of life on the rocks. Although the lines are simple and the composition is crude, they are vivid and unique, and occupy an important place in the history of world rock paintings.

Huhe Chaolu rock painting site
Located in the southwest of honggesumu, 62 kilometers away from Sumu, it belongs to xuruchang painting. The stone volume of rock paintings is 9 square kilometers, and nearly 2700 pieces of rock paintings are mainly chiseled. The proportion of carving is relatively small, and the production is fine. The exquisite carving makes the Huhe Chaolu rock painting site more moving. The vehicles, sun and moon, stars, hunting and dancing in his works are typical of the bronze age. The largest single work is 1.5 × 0.4 square meters, and the smallest one is only 3.5 cm. The animal painting method is simple and clear, in which the figure dance, hunting scenes and various animals and symbols are combined, inlaid on the dark brown rock, 4.2 meters long and 1.8 meters wide, showing nearly 100 works. This is also one of the few treasures in Ximeng and even the whole region, which can be described as a treasure of Huhe Chaolu.
Tuolai rock painting site
It is only 3.2km away from Hohhot Chaolu rock painting site, covering an area of 14km2. It has carved works of three times on numerous basalts. More than 100 pieces of rock paintings are second only to Hohhot Chaolu rock painting site in number, and the works are mainly carved with perfect shape. Most of them are small works, and most of them are medieval animals and horse rock paintings.
Biqigetu rock painting spot
It is 2.7 km away from the Huhe Chaolu rock painting site, and is distributed in 1.5 square kilometers of rocks. The works reflecting the bronze age and the Mongolian Yuan era are the unique characteristics of biqigetu rock paintings. There are only a few typical works, and there are only a few in the bronze age. The number of rock paintings can reach 70-80 at most.
Taoentu rock painting spot
3.6km away from Hohhot Chaolu rock painting site, it is the rock painting site with the smallest area distribution, and it is also the nearest rock painting site to the border between China and Mongolia. Within the area of 4 square kilometers, almost no large number of rock painting works have been found, only less than 10 modern works have been found. Although few of them have been found, they are also part of hongger rock painting group.
Bazitatu rock painting spot
Gai Shanlin, a famous rock art expert, praised the discovery of hongger rock art group in 1987, which is another important discovery after the discovery of Yinshan Rock Art Group. It is a very valuable material for the study of northern ethnic groups in China, especially nomadic ethnic groups. She provides us with a witness that can not be underestimated to understand ancient art, aesthetics and folk customs.
