Introduction to scenic spots
The most important feature of the Shinto of Xiaoling in Ming Dynasty is the perfect combination of architecture and terrain. The Shinto is different from the straight line shape of the imperial mausoleum in the past dynasties, but it is completely constructed according to the terrain and mountain situation as a winding layout. Stone statues are placed at the nodes of each paragraph to control the space and form a solemn atmosphere. The stone statue was born with complete bricks of Six Dynasties, so that it did not sink for 600 years. The Shinto extends from east to northwest, and there are 6 kinds of stone animals, lions, trapes, camels, elephants, Kirin * and horses, each of 2 pairs, 12 pairs and 24 pieces, each of which is kneeling on two sides, standing on two sides, and holding a road to serve.
These stone animals represent the etiquette requirements of the royal mausoleum, each with its moral meaning: the lion is the king of animals, showing the majesty of the emperor, it is a symbol of imperial power, and it acts as a symbol of the evil of the town. It is a kind of animal, a unicorn, a lion and a green hairy, and a straight and honest person. It can distinguish between right and wrong, and it can use the angle to oppose the guilty person; * the camel is a symbol of desert and tropical, and it indicates the wide territory of Daming. The elephant is a giant beast with strong four legs, which means the stability of the country. Qilin is the legendary "four spirits", which is the head of Lin, tortoise, dragon and Phoenix. It is a benevolent beast with scales, no grass and no food. The male is called Qi, and the female is called Lin, which symbolizes "benevolent and righteous king" and auspicious and bright. In ancient times, horse was the emperor's expedition to the north It is an important mount for the war and unification of the country.
Among the six kinds of Stone Beasts in the Shinto of the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, the elephant is the largest, weighing 80 tons. At that time, in order to transport these stone beasts to the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, in winter, they sprinkled water on the road to form ice, and then used thick bamboo and wood as rollers to complete the transportation task. This section of Shinto is now commonly known as Shixiang Road, with a total length of 615 meters.
