Main attractions
The buildings of Feilai temple are high and low, and the halls are very beautiful
The buildings echo each other and the scenery is vivid. The temple worships the statues of jueguna qazhaxi and kawagbo. On the walls of the main hall are painted pictures of master zongkaba, King Kong of Shengle, Dharma protectors, living Buddhas of Deqin temple and several temples in Ganzi Prefecture, as well as the deeds of zhubanaka, the builder of Feilai temple. Feilai temple is opposite to Kawagebo peak, on which there is a monument of "martyrdom of Chinese and Japanese mountain climbing warriors in Meili Snow Mountain" and a Buddhist pagoda. The monument stands in memory of 17 dead mountaineers of Meili Snow Mountain climbing team in January 4, 1991. The pagoda was built to commemorate the 10th Panchen Lama's visit to Deqin.
The architectural features of Feilai temple are very distinct. The architectural sculpture of Haichao hall is most praised. The main hall is a single eaves hanging on the top of the mountain, with seven sandalwood beams, three rooms wide. The whole beam and beam frame are regular. It is made of large garden wood, with simple and sparse eaves and huge eaves columns
On the base of Mizuo column, the waist of Mizuo is engraved with relief patterns of figures, flowers and other decorative patterns. The wood carvings under the eaves are soft and beautiful, quiet and unique, the lattice fans in front of the hall are complete, the lattice pattern is exquisite, and the carving is skilled. Fly to the temple hall, people are dizzying. The main hall was chiseled into a plane according to the mountain and formed a wall with the help of the mountain. The craftsmen chiseled out the main body of the Haichao hall on the rocks -- the picture of Haichao Dragon King sending his daughter to get married. On the left side of the picture are eighteen Arhats with different expressions, and on the right side are the stories of the characters in journey to the west, all of which are exquisite and vivid.
geographical environment
The construction and naming of Feilai temple was originally planned to be two kilometers away from the current site. All the materials were ready. On the night before the ground breaking, the main building materials such as columns and beams disappeared. The abbot monk sent people to trace them. When we found the current site, we found that the columns and beams had been erected according to the specifications, and there were no back beams and columns of the main hall. We thought it was divine intention from the beginning, so we built the temple on the current site according to the divine intention, and ordered it to be "Feilai Temple" because the columns and beams flew to support themselves.
Standing on the edge of Douwen village and looking at Feilai temple, I really want to fly. The ancient temple, which is surrounded by mountains, dense forests and clouds, has the appearance of cutting off clouds and fog, and also has the image of condensation and invariability. It is really a place where there is a fairy terrace on the precipice, and a tower of jade standing upright. There is a cold spring in front of Feilai temple. The abbot of the temple has lived a long life because he often drinks. Therefore, people who go to the mountain vie to drink it. Before leaving, they have to take some pots down the mountain. It's also an ideal place to watch Meili Snow Mountain.
