Lamashan National Forest Park is located in Yakeshi City, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, in the north of Balin railway station of Binzhou railway line, with a total area of 9379 hectares. The main peak looks like a chanting Lama sitting in front of the wall, hence its name.
Lamashan National Forest Park in Inner Mongolia is located in the east foot of the middle section of Daxing'anling mountains. The terrain is high in the West and low in the East. There are five types of soil, including brown coniferous forest soil, dark brown soil, gray forest soil, meadow soil and swamp soil. It belongs to temperate continental monsoon climate with forest coverage rate of 81%. There are 808 species of plants belonging to 439 genera of 161 families and 267 species of vertebrates belonging to 153 genera of 66 families of 25 orders.
In December 2006, Lama mountain in Inner Mongolia was approved as a national forest park.

Lamashan National Forest Park in Inner Mongolia is located in Yakeshi City, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is 187 kilometers away from Yakeshi city and 244 kilometers away from Hulunbuir city in Lamashan forest farm of Balin Forestry Bureau. The geographical coordinates are 122 ° 14 ′ 43 ″ - 122 ° 25 ′ 30 ″ E and 48 ° 18 ′ 03 ″ - 48 ° 24 ′ 28 ″ n, including all the forest classes of 99, 105, 106, 107, 108, 110, 111, 112, 113, 118, 119, 120, 121, 125, 126, 127, 128, 129, 130, 141, 142, 143, 149, 150, 153 and 154 in Lamashan forest farm of Balin Forestry Bureau of Hulunbuir City, with a total area of 9379 hectares.

Lamashan National Forest Park in Inner Mongolia is located in the eastern foot of the middle section of the Great Xing'an Mountains. Its geotectonics belongs to the southern margin of the northern section of the Great Xing'an Mountains uplift belt of the Cathaysian system, and the third subsidence zone, the Hailaer fault fold belt and the Genhe depression belt.
The landform of Lamashan National Forest Park in Inner Mongolia is basically the middle and low mountain area of Daxinganling, with the terrain high in the West and low in the East, and inclined from northwest to Southeast. The southwest part of the mountain is steep, most of the area is round, the slope is gentle, the average altitude is about 650 meters, the highest altitude is 1456 meters.

The annual average temperature is - 4.4 ℃ - 0.4 ℃, the annual average sunshine hours is 2378-2720 hours, and the annual average precipitation is 388.7-477.9 mm. The first frost usually appears in early September, often in the early morning after cold air, and the final frost usually appears in early June.

The inner river of Lamashan National Forest Park in Inner Mongolia belongs to Nenjiang river system. The surface water is mainly Yalu River. It originates from xinnangou of Boketu forest farm in the north of Balin Forestry Bureau. It flows from northwest to southeast through the west side of the park, collecting the tributaries and forming a perennial river. The length of the river flowing through the park is about 30 km, with an average annual flow of 420 million cubic meters per year and a maximum flow of 865 million cubic meters per year . The main source of groundwater recharge is atmospheric precipitation.

The plants belong to the East Asia summer green broad-leaved forest flora in the botanical division of Inner Mongolia. The Northeast summer green broad-leaved forest flora is located in the eastern foot of Daxinganling Mountains. It is in the transitional zone between the Northeast summer green broad-leaved forest province and the mountain coniferous forest province of Daxinganling Mountains There are obvious transitional characteristics. There are 808 species belonging to 439 genera and 161 families in the forest park, mainly including black birch, white birch, Quercus mongolica, Larix gmelinii, Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica, Acer fraxinifolia, Picea koraiensis, Vitex negundo, elm, Populus davidiana, Corylus heterophylla, willow shrub, Rhododendron, Rosa Xingan, Sorbaria sorbifolia, Spiraea sericata, Lespedeza, Spiraea styracifolium, Sanguisorba officinalis, Cinnamomum camphora, Liulan, Adenophora lanceolata, geranium pilosum Clematis calyciflorum, Artemisia latifolia, Artemisia schizophylla, Potamogeton glauca, weilingcai, iris simplex, Carex lanatus, bupleurum, Carex Wusuli, Carex convex, Lilium orientalis, Cypripedium grandiflorum, iris simplex, Atractylodes lancea, iris simplex, Thalictrum Pterocarpus, Adenophora lanceolata, Lilium, Dendrocalamus, etc. Among them, there are two national class II rare and endangered plants, namely Salix mandshurica and Sagittaria flousifolia.

There are 267 species of vertebrates belonging to 25 orders, 66 families and 153 genera in Lamashan National Forest Park in Inner Mongolia, including 52 species of mammals belonging to 6 orders, 14 families and 37 genera, 201 species of birds belonging to 15 orders, 45 families and 106 genera, 7 species of amphibians belonging to 2 orders, 4 families and 4 genera, 7 species of reptiles belonging to 2 orders, 3 families and 6 genera. The main animals are black grouse, hazel grouse, wild boar, roe deer, red deer, moose, Apodemus agrarius, weasel and stoat.
Main attractions
Waterfall rock
Waterfall rock is located about 700 meters to the west of the main peak of Lama mountain in Lama Mountain National Forest Park of Inner Mongolia. Shiyu Valley in the southeast of the peak rock faces Lama peak. The rock foot is 580 meters above sea level, the peak is more than 30 meters high, and there is a waterfall above it, about 45 meters wide.
Shentuoyan
Shentuoyan, also known as yingmen mountain, is located 850 meters west of the main peak of Lama mountain in Lama Mountain National Forest Park, Inner Mongolia, and to the south of the mouth of Shiyu valley. The rock toe is 400-500m above sea level and the rock mass is 32m high. Peak rock in the middle of a Shimen cave, hollow about 8 meters wide, nearly 10 meters high, known as the lower Tianmen.
Xingshiyan
Xingshiyan is located at the gate 600 meters south of the main peak of Lama mountain in Lama Mountain National Forest Park, Inner Mongolia, with an altitude of 588 meters and a relative altitude of 38 meters. From the southwest side of Fengyan, the rock body looks like a lion crouching, hence its name. In the north of Fengyan, there is a natural dangerous road to the top of the rock.
Shimen rock
Shimen rock is located about 650 meters south of the main peak of Lama mountain in Lama Mountain National Forest Park, Inner Mongolia, and at the Northeast foot of Xingshi rock. The rock foot is about 550 meters above sea level and more than 10 meters high. It is named because the shape on the west side of the rock body is similar to Shimen and is about 2.5 meters wide.
Longevity rock
Wanshouyan, also known as Xianglu peak, is located 2160m northwest of the main peak of Lama mountain in Lama Mountain National Forest Park of Inner Mongolia. The elevation of the rock foot is about 693M, and the height of the rock is 38m. Looking from the west, there is a rock on each side. The width of the rock is about 20m and 30m, and the height is about 30m and 20m respectively.
Shiyugou
Shiyugou is located in the north side of the main peak of Lama mountain in Inner Mongolia Lama Mountain National Forest Park, from northeast to southwest, with a length of 3.25 km, a width of about 3 m, a depth of 1 m, and a drainage area of about 5.79 square kilometers.
Baoan Temple
Baoan Temple is located in the middle of the south slope of Lama mountain in Lama Mountain National Forest Park of Inner Mongolia. It was built in the 1940s and is the activity place of Chinese Buddhism believers in Yakeshi city and its surrounding areas. It was rebuilt in June 2005. It is 170 meters long, 140 meters wide at the back and 70 meters wide at the front. It covers an area of 18900 square meters and a building area of 5200 square meters. The main buildings are the four major halls of the main axis. From south to north, there are the mountain gate, the heavenly king hall, the great hall and the Sutra collection building. The East and West have the auxiliary hall, the zhaifang and the release pool.
Honor recognition
In 2001, with the approval of Forestry Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Lamashan Forest Park was established.
In 2006, approved by the State Forestry Administration, the forest park is a National Forest Park in Lamashan, Inner Mongolia.
In 2008, Lamashan National Forest Park in Inner Mongolia was rated as a national AA scenic spot.

S302 is the main road to Lama Mountain National Forest Park in Inner Mongolia. The subgrade is 10 meters wide and runs through the forest park from southeast to northwest for 8.2 kilometers. The main tourist road in the core scenic area has been built for about 10 kilometers, with cement pavement and 5.5 meters wide. Along the main tourist Road, there are many dirt roads and footpaths leading to various scenic spots. There is a 1-meter-wide wooden walking path leading to the main scenic spots in Lama mountain scenic area, which is arranged through the forest; the Wanshouyan scenic area and shiyugu scenic area are mainly soil roads, and the subgrade is about 3-4 meters. The main existing road in general recreation area is line S302, along which there are many dirt roads, about 28 km. The management service area runs through line S302 with a branch road of 2.8km, which flows into S302 through Yalu River leisure resort. There are 2.5km cement roads in beilinchang village and Hexi village, and other roads are earth roads with a length of 6km. The road leading to Baoan Temple is earth roads with a width of about 3-4m and a length of about 1.4km.
