Development history
King Xiang was Zhu Zhanshan, the fifth son of Zhu gaochi, the emperor of Ming Ren. In the first year of Zhengtong (1436 AD), the palace was moved from Changsha to the southeast corner of Xiangyang City and rebuilt. It covers an area of about 40000 square meters. It has three main halls, five back halls, three gates and three Yi gates, and 18 left and right houses. The building is of great scale and momentum. At that time, the Zhaobi in front of the palace was built.
At that time, the Royal Palace was built with red walls and green tiles. Before the Royal Palace, all officials kowtowed to each other. Zhu Zhanshan had a very high position at that time. According to relevant records, Yingzong was captured in the civil engineering Revolution (now Huailai County, Hebei Province) in 1449. When the imperial government was in crisis, Zhu Zhanshan wrote to the Empress Dowager and asked the crown prince (Yingzong's son) Zhu Jian to stay in the throne. He supervised the country with Chengwang Zhu Qiyu (Yingzong's younger brother) and sent to the Treasury to recruit brave people to meet his recovery. But when the letter was sent to the capital, Zhu Qiyu had been emperor for many days. In 1450, Yingzong returned to the capital and was successfully restored. Seeing this, he was moved by the loyalty of his uncle. Therefore, Zhu Zhanshan's courtesy was unprecedented. The unique Xiangyang palace and its special artistic style
The green shadow wall is the best example.
In 1641, Chongzhen's palace was completely destroyed, but Zhaobi has been preserved to this day. It is 7.6 meters high, 26.2 meters wide and 1.6 meters thick. It is an imitation wood structure with a width of 3 rooms and is all bordered with white marble. In the middle is engraved with "two dragons playing with pearls", and in the left and right are carved giant dragons flying between "Flowing Clouds in the sea". There are 64 dragons carved on the border, with different postures. The screen wall is one of the precious works of art in stone carving, with its solemn shape, gorgeous carving, bold and unconstrained style, vivid and majestic. On the former site of the palace, the gate and main hall of the palace have been built, displaying cultural relics unearthed from Xiangyang City and its counties.
