Huaiyin City Monument
Huaiyin City stele was originally set up when Han Xin was granted the title of "Marquis of Huaiyin", but later the original stele was in disrepair. In the Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty, Wang tingqi, who was in charge of Huai'an, was rebuilt, and in the Wanli period, Liu Dawen, the magistrate of Huai'an, rebuilt and inscribed it. Later, due to the damage of the cultural revolution, the monument was rebuilt in 1987.
The monument is 137 cm high, 90 cm wide and 17 cm thick.
The stele was originally erected on the west side of the north head of SHANGBAN street. To the south of the stele is the north mountain of Pan Ganchen's family, to the west is the east mountain of the affiliated building of Pan house, to the north of fushikou, and to the east of SHANGBAN. It was originally erected when Han Xin was granted the title of "Marquis of Huaiyin" in that year. Later, the original stele was in disrepair and damaged for a long time. In the Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty, Wang tingqi, who was in charge of Huai'an, was rebuilt, and in the Wanli period, Liu Dawen, the magistrate of Huai'an, rebuilt and inscribed it. The front of the tablet is engraved with three characters of "Huaiyin City", and on both sides there is a tablet couplet, the upper couplet reads "wangsun site", the lower couplet reads "Guoshi Liufang", the back of the tablet is engraved with "hometown of Hanxin, Marquis of Huaiyin of Han Dynasty", and on both sides there is a warning couplet, the upper couplet reads "civil servants get off the sedan chair", and the lower couplet reads "military officers get off the horse". During the cultural revolution period, Huaiyin stele was smashed and put on the river side of Dazui city in the north of the city as a stepping stone for the water wharf. When Beimen street was widened in 1987, the Urban Construction Bureau recovered one-third of the remnant stele, preserved it in the stone forest of shaohuyuan, and rebuilt it at fushikou (30 meters away from the original site). Huaiyin, the ancient name of Huai'an, is also another name of Huai'an in Ming and Qing Dynasties. "City" is the mouth of the city.
