Yizhong master, known as "Sanping zushigong" in Southern Fujian and overseas villagers, was born in Gaoling County, Xianyang, Shaanxi Province. As his father became an official in Fujian, Yizhong was born on the sixth day of the first month of the sixth year of Li Shixing yuan, Emperor Dezong of Tang Dynasty, in Futang County, which is now Fuqing County of Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. Yizhong is very clever. He is diligent and studious when he was young. He can read a lot of books and remember poems after reading.
My father is a great master, and there is an endless stream of doctors and teachers. Later, because Li Yan, Emperor Wuzong of the Tang Dynasty, abandoned Buddhism and eliminated monks, master Yizhong reluctantly bid farewell to Zizhi mountain and led monks and nuns to take refuge in jiucengyan in Pinghe.
With green mountains and beautiful scenery, it is a good place to build temples and preach.
Master Yizhong
Master Yizhong saw that the mountain people here were living a life of slash and burn cultivation. They were extremely poor and backward, lacking medicine and medicine. Many mountain people were suffering from poverty and illness. They were forced to leave their hometown and escape from the wilderness, resulting in the desolation of the mountain garden here. He came to the mountain people and asked the people for help. He tried his best to cure the mountain people's diseases. He imparted his "Taizu boxing" and "Shaozu boxing" to the local mountain people unreservedly. In order to keep fit and prevent diseases, he won the welcome and appreciation of the people at home.
Master Yizhong has come to Sanping mountain. He is dedicated to providing doctors and medicine for the mountain people. The good news of curing diseases is like a warm spring breeze blowing in and out of the mountain. The fleeing mountain people were glad to hear the news and rushed to tell each other. They all came back to the mountain one after another.
Master Yizhong taught them advanced farming techniques to change the backwardness of slash and burn farming. He also actively guided the mountain people to reclaim barren mountains, build gardens, build water conservancy, build cottages, cultivate men and weave women, so that the production in the deep mountains could be restored and developed. The mountain people lived and worked in peace and contentment, lived a self-sufficient natural economic life, and lived in harmony with master Yizhong and other monks and nuns.
When Xuanzong revived Buddhism in Tang Dynasty, he was called "master Guangji" in the imperial edict. Master Yizhong preached more seriously inside and outside Sanping mountain to show his talent.
In the 13th year of Xiantong in the Tang Dynasty, on the 6th of the 11th lunar month, master Yizhong died in Sanping temple at the age of 92. Because he has done a lot of good things for the people at home in his life, later generations revered him as "the Grandmaster of Sanping". For more than a thousand years, there has been a lot of incense here, and people have been worshiping him as a god of charity. Even overseas Chinese and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan have not forgotten their merits and virtues. They have come here together to worship and donate money to repair the temple.
Sanping temple, a famous ancient temple in China, was founded more than 1100 years ago. After going through many vicissitudes, it has been destroyed and built many times. Today, the scale of Sanping temple, which is displayed in front of pilgrims, is the result of reconstruction in the Qing Dynasty. Over the past decade, invested by the local government and enthusiasts at home and abroad, the millennium old temple has been renovated and even more splendid.
Layout of ancient temples
This thousand year old temple is commonly known as "three and a half halls". The temple is built on the mountain, facing south from the north, low in front and high in back, surrounded by mountains, with unique geographical conditions. In the heat season, the south wind leaps over the forest, sea and bamboo waves, gently blowing, making people feel cool. The total construction area of Sanping ancient temple is more than 2000 square meters. The building complex is divided into two groups: the front group is composed of Mountain Gate, bell and Drum Tower, monk's room and Mahatma hall, and the back group is composed of ancestral hall, Zhaitang and pagoda hall. The building of the temple is unique. On the forehead of the renovated Mountain Gate is a gold plaque inscribed by Mr. Zhao Puchu, "Sanping Temple", which is dazzling in the colorful sunlight. On the ridge of the mountain gate, there are two green dragons carved in colored porcelain, facing a small pagoda, which is vivid and lifelike, and has the potential of leaping into the clear sky.
Pilgrims enter the mountain gate and enter the patio. On both sides of the patio is the lotus pool. Pilgrims go straight along the stone road in the middle. When they climb the steps, they will be the newly renovated and colorful main hall. The main hall is three rooms wide, more than one meter higher than the mountain gate. The two corridors face each other. On the right corridor wall are inlaid with steles of Sanping Temple rebuilt by Cai Xin, Prime Minister of the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. Pilgrims enter the ancestral hall, which is the hall of Guangji master Yizhong. There is a corridor in front of the hall. Pilgrims must enter the corridor through the side door before they can reach the hall. The hall is three rooms wide, in which sits the statue of master Yizhong. It is carved from camphor wood in the Qing Dynasty and is more than one meter high. The joints of the statue can move, so long as there is artificial support, it can stand, unique. The highest part of Sanping temple, which is the last entrance, is called "pagoda hall". After careful renovation, it takes on a new look. The base of the pagoda hall is two meters high and square, with double eaves and three rooms wide. There are steps on both sides. Pilgrims happily climb the steps and enter the hall through the side door. In the very smooth terrazzo cage in the middle of the hall, there is a sitting statue of master Yizhong, the founder of Sanping. The statue has a beautiful shape, wearing a monk's hat and cassock. It has a kind and approachable face. Here, incense is the most abundant. It is often crowded into the inner three layers and the outer three layers. People are crowded and water can't escape. In the center of the pagoda hall, there is a round umbrella shaped top cover, which is very elegant and unique in structure. The inscription called it "Baogai" just covers master Guangji's head. It is said that when master Yizhong was ninety-two years old, he sat and left the world. Sanping temple is the most lively place. There are seven steles on both sides of the hall wall, all of which are the inscriptions of rebuilding the hall in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

The spring water is very clear and mellow, without any pollution. Pilgrims come here and drink a cup of spring water. From the ice in their mouth to their heart, they feel refreshed and the summer heat is gone. The endless spring water in the four seasons is better than the mineral water sold in shops.

The drops of water are like arrows flying off the string, and thousands of plumes are shooting in unison. The falling white plumes are like reflection in the air, and the white flowers are like dragon whiskers. Under the reflection of the bright sun, a charming rainbow appears on the deep pool, which is magnificent.
