Golmud Hydropower Station
The magnificent Golmud hydropower station on the Golmud River is known as the Pearl at the foot of Kunlun mountain. Golmud River is a big river in the southern margin of Qaidam Basin. The snow and ice in Kunlun mountains melt in summer, and it is galloping and roaring with the camp water. Behind it is a glittering artificial reservoir with a capacity of more than 4 million cubic meters. In front of it is a flying iron cable overpass on both sides of a rugged canyon. The water of the reservoir gushes out from the three flood gates of the dam, like graupel snow or waterfall, with jade beads splashing and water mist flying.
