The design of Tiejun park is novel, and the environment is beautiful but solemn. The main entrance of the park is a nearly 1000 square meter Iron Army square. The statue of martyr Chen Tiejun stands high in the center of the square for people to admire. In the northwest corner of the park, there is a memorial hall of martyr Chen Tiejun covering an area of 250 square meters. In the exhibition room, there is a plaster bust of martyr Chen Tiejun, an exhibition introducing the deeds of martyr Chen Tiejun, and objects used by martyr Chen Tiejun in his lifetime

Chen Tiejun

His original name is Wang Jun. In April 1904, he was born into a family of overseas Chinese businessmen in Foshan. Influenced by the May 4th movement, he entered Jihua primary school in Foshan to receive new culture and new ideological education. After graduating from high school in 1922, he got rid of the fetters of feudal ethics and was admitted to Guangzhou kunwei women's middle school. The school organizes current affairs research society and so on, studies Marxism, explores the truth of saving the country and the people and the road of women's liberation. In 1924, he entered the preparatory course of the Liberal Arts College of Guangdong University and joined in the national revolutionary movement against imperialism and feudalism. He joined the Communist Party of China in the summer of 1926. He has successively served as member of the CPC branch of Sun Yat sen University, member and Secretary General of the Executive Committee of Guangdong Women's Liberation Association. He once presided over the training class for women's movement personnel and the dean of educational administration of the strike working women's school in Hong Kong and Guangdong Province, and made contributions to the training of the backbone of women's movement. In 1927, Deng Yingchao, the head of the women's Committee of the Guangdong District Committee of the Communist Party of China, risked his life to cover the transfer during the "4 · 5" counter revolutionary coup in Guangzhou. In the autumn of that year, he and Zhou Wenyong, the organization Minister of the CPC Guangzhou Municipal Committee, actively prepared for the Guangzhou Uprising under the cover of a fake husband and wife, and mobilized the masses in Guangzhou, Foshan and other places for fund-raising and publicity. In November, under the leadership of the party organization, Wen Yong was rescued from prison. In December, he participated in Guangzhou Uprising and was responsible for traffic liaison. After the failure of the uprising, they moved to Hong Kong. At the beginning of 1928, he was ordered to return to Guangzhou with Wen Yong. The secret organization led the "spring riot" and rebuilt the underground organs of Guangzhou municipal Party committee. On February 2, 1928, they were arrested by the enemy at the secret organ of Guangzhou municipal Party committee because of the traitor's information. In prison, he would rather die than surrender after being tortured. On February 6, he took a group photo with Wen Yong in front of the iron window and announced that he would go to the execution ground after marriage and stand side by side on the red granite. Chen Tiejun died bravely. He was only 24 years old.
